- PFPatricia FinneganMar 22, 20265.0SO thankful for the very kind folks at Food Lion!!! I have done some stupid stuff in my day but I think TODAY might have topped them all!! I had a complicated oral surgery procedure done on Tuesday.... Thursday night I finally got a good night's sleep, so when I got up I thought I would run over to Food Lion. BAD MOVE!!! As I was walking around the store putting things in my cart, I could feel myself getting very lightheaded, but you know me, keep pushing, never accept defeat! I got up to the self checkout and felt myself goin' down! Thank goodness I had gotten my items scanned and in my Food Lion bag boxes when one of the associates saw how bad off I was. She got me a chair and there I was, sitting at the self checkout feeling MORTIFIED!! Another worker got the register ready to receive my debit card which I did and they got yet another man to walk me out to my truck and he was kind enough to put my items in Ginger's tailgate. Moral of the story.... If you are NOT feeling 100%, DON'T attempt a trip to the grocery store unless it is Food Lion! I have ALWAYS been a Food Lion girl and today they get 1,000 gold stars from this old teacher! Thank you SO much!!! It turns out that the lightheadedness was caused by a rare reaction to the antibiotic which was prescribed by my oral surgeon, but it was so comforting to know that your associates had my best interests at heart. You ARE my favorite grocery store!!🥰 Keep up the great work!

The one issue I have with this store is there's usually a line at every checkout. It appears no one is in charge to regulate the cashiers or help out where its needed in the store. After a while shopping at a store like this, it's usually not hard to figure out whose in charge. I have no idea who the manager is!
