- SSSamantha6 days ago1.0I made a quick stop at Giant Food to pick up a few things for dinner, and I was very disappointed. This location looked poorly maintained, especially the meat department. There was barely any meat available, and many of the shelves were empty. I didn’t see a manager or anyone available to ask for assistance. This was around 1 p.m., so I was surprised by how unstocked everything was. Definitely not the experience I expected.

Every star here is for the employees, who overall, give top-notch customer service every time I've been. They deserve all of the recognition and respect from us we can give. I don't know whether they're paid well, but regardless I'm POSITIVE it's nowhere near enough. That's being said, I do like going here because the sales compare much better to Acme or Safeway, and they carry all of the natural products I like (Stevia, large assortment of herbal teas--stuff like that). So there IS that. Good sales, too--I just got a lb of lump crab meat for $15 (actually, it rand up for $20 but I was in a rush). That occasionally happens, so keep your eye on things when you're scanning your items. Overall , it is my favorite place to go around this area out of Walmart (no produce there), Aldi, Safeway and Acme (the last 2 having ridiculously high prices many times). So out of the stores on Rt 1 in Rehoboth Beach, Id choose this place.
