The cashier (or manager) assumed I spoke Spanish and addressed my husband in Spanish, even though he does not speak it. Being in the U.S., I expected English to be spoken, especially since my husband is an English speaker, and he definitely doesn’t look like the type of demographic that knows Spanish at all. Additionally, I ordered through the app a cheeseburger but never received it until I went to ask. The staff member responded, “I thought it was a system error,” which was unprofessional. Overall, the service was confusing, frustrating, and not what I expected from a McDonald’s in the U.S.
