- BSBarbara Shockley2 days ago5.0I would like to give a BIG SHOUT OUT two of Food Lions employees. Colin and Vickie they were so helpful on Saturday (01/10) afternoon. They went above and beyond to assist me. They were stocking the shelves but recognizing that I couldn't find what I was looking for and Colin asked could he help me. He was looking high and low but the item wasn't there. I thanked him for taking the time out to help me. I left that area and came back and I saw a young lady stocking in the area where the product I was looking for should be and ask her if they had it the item. She was looking but it wasn't there. I thank her and told her I appreciated her for taking out her time for me. Food Lion your blessed to have both of them working for your establishment.
- CCChris ConwayNov 2, 20252.0Floor staff and registers are fantastic. Every time I need to deal with the deli I get nothing but attitude. Asking them to thinly slice the meat is like asking them to pull fingernails out. I worked in a deli for 3 years and never did a customer requesting thin meat necessitate the kinds of reactions I get here. The woman in particular, older, wearing a dark jacket, couldn't catch her name, kept muttering "oh my god" under her breath because I requested she partake in the capitol crime of turning a knob. It's not only her but her reaction is by far the worst I've had, basically being shamed for not wanting to eat thick sliced bologna. It's a shame because this store has some of the most fantastic staff, including several in the deli. But for whatever reason they hire and retain some of the rudest people to work the deli as well. If your not gonna change the thickness then why even have that job? At that point everything can just be prepacked, and we dont need to pay that person at all.
