  The food was good. Portion is SMALL for normal Thai curry sizes and the rice was pitiful. Noodle dishes were bigger but not special. The environment was nice and decorated but very small. Decent place for Thai and authentic but our waitress ruined it by disrespecting and rudely addressing our friend. She was unhappy about the total tip that was left and yelled at my friend “if she didn’t think the service was that bad then why that tip and not more” Disturbing again and rarely don’t leave bad reviews nor never go back to places but the food was not good enough to warrant the treatment.   We had dinner here when we were in DC and the food was amazing. It was crowded and we had to wait for 20 mins or so but worth the wait! The interiors and decor is inviting and the staff is very friendly!

  Truly delicious Thai food. Great place to eat for lunch or dinner. The curries are absolutely incredible. Best Pad See Ew noodles I’ve ever had. Service is excellent. People are very friendly. This is a must visit Thai spot in DC

  Loved our takeout. Our order eas ready right on time for pickup and everything was hot. Really enjoyed the wings, crab fried rice, and green curry. Will definitely order again.

  Sampannee Thai is a gem! The salads were fresh and bursting with flavour, and the authentic Thai food especially basil rice and curries were absolutely delicious. But what truly elevates the experience is the ambience — warm, inviting, and beautifully done. A perfect spot for a memorable Thai dining experience!
