I went to pickup my order that I ordered online through the website. When I arrived the door was closed and I could not enter the restaurant even though the lights and the open sign was on. I called and did not get an answer. I would like my money back, I spent $70 worth of food. This was the only way I can reach out to your business since I called multiple times and their was no way for me to cancel my order online.

Such a disappointment because I was so excited to give a good review, but the service was horrendous!! Ordered online on a Saturday, arrived to pickup at 8:10, pickup time was 8:08, and the restaurant was entirely empty and apparently closed. Despite multiple attempts to contact the restaurant in the following days over phone and website, I received no response and I need to issue a chargeback with my credit card company. Don’t recommend!
This used to be my go to spot but my last two orders have been disappointing. I ordered pick up through DoorDash. When I went to pick up my order, someone else had already took it. I asked what can be done. I was told to cancel and deal with DoorDash. No apology, no solution I left with no food. Since I didn’t have issues before, I ordered delivery today. I ordered eggs with beef which is also supposed to be scrambled with onions, tomatoes and peppers. All I got was just plain scrambled eggs that were sitting in a pool of oil, and not edible. Very disappointed in the service and inconsistency in food.
Ok yal buckle in!
So let’s begin with the date. So I am fasting for Lent and there are very specific regulations about consuming unleavened bread. All OTHER Ethiopian restaurants do NOT serve unleavened injera bread, which was so disappointing especially as Christian (orthodox) restaurant. Anyways! I called this place and asked and sure enough they did serve it. Pro Tip for those who may not be accustomed to naturally ferment injera bread, it is much more sour and pungent tasting so if you are not a big fan that then get their regular injera bread. They were so helpful in helping us decide what to get that would be within our rotary restrictions.
So you may find that parking might be an issue cause they are located on a somewhat busy side street but it isn’t impossible to find parking depending on the day and time.
Also they were much more affordable than some of the other spots downtown and offer nice customer service. The inside could use a face lift but that does not take away from the food and their respectful nature. Please come support this small local business. 🫶🏾❤️. Happy Lent yal and for all my Christians fasting this season keep pushing through.
