  We decided to try the pizzas at this pizzeria after it was recommended by many people on a Washington DC Facebook group. The place inside is very small, while the outdoor area feels more spacious. We were lucky to find a table inside and only waited a few minutes to be seated. We were given a bottle of tap water by the runner and then waited quite a long time before a waiter approached us. In fact, all seated customers seemed to be waiting for service. We eventually had to stop a passing waiter to get someone’s attention, and finally one server came out from the kitchen to take our order. We ordered two beers and an antipasto misto to start, and since we were with a baby, we asked to place the pizza order immediately so we could receive it after the starter. The waiter had a rather questionable attitude and said we could not order everything together and would need to wait to order the pizzas later. We explained again that we were with a baby, and he eventually agreed and took the full order. We then waited a long time for our beers, which were never brought. We had to stop another waiter to ask for them since our server had disappeared. When the waiter finally came back, he said we had not ordered beers, but then brought them anyway. After another long wait, our waiter disappeared again into the kitchen. Eventually, we received the first pizza, followed shortly by the other two and then the antipasto. The table was so small that there was not enough space for all the plates at once. One of the pizzas (Diavola) arrived with spicy chili peppers, even though we had clearly asked for it without. Overall, the quality of the pizza was good, but not at the level expected for a “pizza verace” standard. The ingredients, especially the cured meats, were not of the highest quality. The server also never refilled our water during the entire meal. In conclusion, I would suggest that the owners consider adding a manager to the staff. The servers seemed disorganized and overwhelmed, as if they were working without a system. Most importantly, they were rarely present on the main floor, spending most of their time in the kitchen, while customers were left waiting. People who arrived after us were served before us, which created unnecessary confusion and frustration. This level of chaos is not justifiable for such a small restaurant, especially with two servers and one runner.
