  This Giant consistently sells rotten food. I have previously bought cheese, milk, and chicken that was either spoiled by the time I opened it (within 24 hours) and/or spoiled well before its sell-by date. Today I made the mistake of buying pork that was discounted with a sell-by date of today. It's already rancid. I also go to other stores for produce because Giant's root vegetables are consistently moldy and damaged. It's frustrating that this grocery store is in such an important location for the neighborhood and is so consistently subpar.

  This is usually the place I go to when I can’t find things at lidl or target and don’t want to drive to Whole Foods/Whole Foods. Stuff is often more expensive than other stores, quality isn’t that great, dumb bag policy, and half of their staff have crap attitudes.

  The entire bakery team from Management to the cake decorator are amazing. The manager stayed late to help me with my wife’s last minute birthday cake, and the bakery icing decorator did an amazing job on a beautiful cake. This store really anchors the Columbia Heights community and most folks who work there share an inherent kindness that isn’t showy but shows up in every interaction.

  Not a good place to eat, buffet table was not even fill up had to wait for everything to get on our plate and some food was cold especially the won ton soup ,took my mother inlaw out for her 92 nd birthday and didnt enjoy it at all.would not go there again

  Tagged my bag when I went in which is fine. Then as I was leaving out the security asked me to open my backpack which was strange never been asked that before but I complied. Then she asked for my receipt. I asked why she said store policy. I noticed when I went into the store she didn't ask any other customers. Seems like racial targeting. Ask why she only asking me and no one else said the same thing store policy. Looked up the information on corporate website and there is no need for them to ask a receipt from customers. Moving forward I will no longer offer my receipt if asked and suggest others do the same. It is not Mandatory to give receipt or open bag once you leave! There is a reason why there are security cameras in store. I feel I was singled out for no reason just based on skin color which is wrong. If you are going to enforce this policy do so for EVERYONE!!! To others who shop here you don't have to give receipt or open your bag as you are exiting the store! It is not a mandate!
