- JWJ WJan 1, 20261.0I stopped into the Dunkin Donuts on 1201 G Street, NW to purchase a bottle of water and a worker pulled a knife on me and stated I was about to walk out of the store with the water. This was untrue, I had the money in my hand and showed it to the worker and said you did not give me a chance to pay for the water and I was not anywhere close to the door. She said the camera videoed me trying to walk out of the store with the water, that same camera videoed that worker pulling that knife on me. I put the water down on the counter and left the store, as I was unsure how this event would have further unfolded. The worker followed me to the door with the knife in her hand. I contacted Dunkin Donuts headquarters and the police and reported the incident. The camera footage showed that I was NOT trying to steal the bottle of water. I was informed that the worker was fired. I am filing assault charges and will never ever patronize a Dunkin Donuts store after this horrible experience.

She assumed I am buying something just to use the restroom which confirmed my suspicion as I overheard her while she was gossiping about this to a friend I believe. Owner must take action on this because even if the customer is using the restroom after buying something it’s not against Dunkin Donut’s policies. And this is DC there will be always visitors u cant turn ur back on them. Thanks
