  this place is SO AMAZING! the serving staff was very attentive, it’s in a great convenient location right next to the metro, the restaurant is decorated so beautifully, and the food was jaw droppingly good. we made a reservation for three and shared plates, and our favorites were the chicken uyghur pilaf, the spring rolls, and the sour & spicy potatoes. definitely make sure to visit this spot!

  I’m from Colombia, and as a true coffee taster I can say that the coffee at Dolan truly surprised me and made me feel at home again. I paired it with a delicious lentil soup and a mozzarella bread — the best combination for cold weather. Their food and the hospitality of their servers made me feel very comfortable! Thanks Diana for your recommendation!!

  I had a great experience at Dolan—everything was delicious! I really enjoyed my Small Big Plate Chicken and my lamb kebab. I had never tried lamb before, and it was amazing. I’m very grateful to the hostess because I accidentally made a reservation for Falls Church, thinking it was the Washington, D.C. location. When we arrived, we didn’t actually have a reservation, but she kindly helped us find a spot for our celebration. Thank you so much for your help and for making sure we had everything we needed.👍🏻👍🏻

  We came at 6:50 on a Friday night without a reservation and I was not expecting to get sat right away. We got to the host stand and she asked how many, we said 2 and she replies “no, sorry”. No offer to wait no offer to put the name down and she just starts seating others. After the third person I interjected to ask if we could put our name down. She goes "give me a second" seats someone and replies no. Now I was not expecting a 5 star greeting but usually you will get an explanation or at least the offer to put the name down. There was also another pair of 2 sitting on the bench in the waiting area clearly not getting sat for a reservation. Now one can only guess why one pair of people would be allowed to wait and another wouldn't even be offered but I digress. I don’t have to get told 3x they don’t want us to eat there. I won’t be back.

  Given the price-per-dish, some of the worst asian food I've had in the DMV area. Bad: - The cold skin noodles were dry and the sauce was unpalatable and without any flavor. - The Chili chicken was lazy and flavorless, just a breast of steamed chicken tossed in some sauce and chilis - The Big Plate Chicken lacked flavor and was severely overpriced for what it was. Good: - The fresh noodles were springy and nice - The eggplant dish was good - The dumplings were nice Maybe I ordered wrong, but when you're charging $60 for a plate of stewed chicken legs, it needs to actually taste like something other than a generic brown stew.
