  Today I went to try Dolan Uyghur Restaurant in Washington, D.C., and it was phenomenal. The great reviews definitely don’t lie. I ordered some lamb kebabs, kormachop , and eggplant, and absolutely everything was amazing. On top of that, the service is excellent—they are always attentive to our needs!

  Service and atmosphere is nice. But the food we had was extremely bland. I would recommend: switch all normal noodles for hand pulled, the eggplant should be soy based not tomato, big plate chicken needs an individual size not 2-6.

  Dolan Uyghur Restaurant was a standout and the korma chop noodles absolutely delivered. The flavors were bold without being overwhelming, hitting that perfect balance where you can really taste the spices without them overpowering your palate. Whether you like things mild or with a bit more heat, it feels like they’ve mastered making the dish work for everyone. The doghap drink was a great surprise too: refreshing, tangy, and the perfect complement to the richness of the noodles. It kind of resets your taste buds between bites, which made the whole meal even better. Overall, a really satisfying experience with well-balanced flavors and thoughtful execution. Definitely worth a visit.

  Excellent 5-star experience at Dolan Uyghur Restaurant! We ordered samosas, chuchura soup, beef noodles, beef fried rice, and beef soup noodles — everything was delicious and beautifully presented in both taste and appearance. They even treated us to cake and pudding on the house! Friendly staff — Mr. Kadir took excellent care of us — and we loved everything. Highly recommend!

  Food was excellent. The service was friendly and food came out quickly once in. It took more time than I would say is typical, and actively getting a servers attention, to get an initial order in, order dessert at the end, and get the bill. Still, I would say that did not detract from the overall experience, and may have been a fluke of the evening. We split an appetizer, two mains (not pictured are the beef and lamb meat pies which is too bad because they were great), and a pot of chai tea with dinner, and then a couple of desserts with cappuccinos after. Do get a pot of tea. Only get that much food if you can take leftovers home- everything looked so good we had to try as much as possible and would go that route if you can.
