Probably the best Steak in D.C Have been going here for years. They have very capable mixologist at the bar. They make excellent apps so you can either dine in for the night or just go for some drinks and apps before you head out for the night. Their service could improve.

We visited as a party of six with high expectations, given the restaurant’s reputation and premium price point. While there were highlights to the evening, the execution of the primary courses fell short of what we anticipated for a steakhouse of this price point. The Seafood Tower: Truly impressive. The quality and freshness of the seafood were top-tier and set a fantastic tone for the meal. Beverage Program: The drinks were expertly crafted and well-received by the entire table. The core of our disappointment lay with the entrees. Out of five meat orders, four were not prepared to the requested temperature. Temperature Accuracy: We requested our steaks at medium-well (described as a light pink center), but four arrived medium-rare. Service Quality: Additionally, one of the meat dishes was served cold, suggesting a timing issue between the grill and the table. When dining at a high-end steakhouse, precision is the expectation. While the appetizers and atmosphere were excellent, the kitchen needs to ensure that the same care and attention are applied to the steaks. For the price point, it is essential that every order is cooked exactly as requested and served at the proper temperature.

Back at it again at Bourbon Steak DC—this time, I finally got my hands on their 36oz Wagyu Tomahawk, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The cut was incredibly tender, rich, and juicy—every bite felt indulgent in the best way. I left completely stuffed and more than satisfied. We started with the roasted bone marrow, served with a lemon herb breadcrust and pickled mustard seeds. It was luxuriously creamy with just the right balance of brightness and acidity to cut through the richness. The seared scallops were cooked to perfection—beautifully caramelized on the outside and tender inside—paired with pecan and parmesan crisps that added a great textural contrast. The oysters on the half shell were fresh and refreshing, a perfect lighter note to balance the heavier dishes. For dessert, the banana tartin stole the show. Think French toast elevated with citrus caramel and a scoop of dulce de leche ice cream—decadent, comforting, and memorable. I’m usually not a shaved ice kind of person, but this one surprised me. The winter citrus, lychee, and coconut lime espuma combination worked incredibly well together—light, fragrant, and a refreshing way to end the meal. One of the main reasons for coming back was their limited-time collaboration with Handshake, which I fell in love with during a trip to Mexico (#2 Bar in the world). Their cocktail craftsmanship did not disappoint—the yuzu matcha was easily a standout and completely worth the revisit. Once again, Bourbon Steak proves they know exactly what they’re doing—not just with the food, but with the overall hospitality and experience. A top-tier dining spot that continues to deliver.

I have to provide a one star because I would use the word unconscionable considering it’s the Four seasons hotel I was seated and then no one ever came to me. The waitress clearly saw me numerous times and decided to ignore me for whatever reason I’ve been had to ask the hostess, and thankfully I dealt with a nice woman who was an assistant manager in training, Alicia, who literally took my order and served me the entire time as the waitress never even ever came over. Awful on every account!!!!!!! Here’s a photo if anyone actually has any quality control in this place to see where I was seated. Buyer beware

I ordered a NY strip steak cooked medium-well, but it came out extremely dry-so dry that I could barely swallow it without constantly drinking water. For a restaurant at the Four Seasons and at this price point, the quality was very disappointing. The service was even worse. No one came to check how the food was after it was served. The steak took a very long time to arrive, and when ! finished, I waited a long time just to get the check. After finally receiving it, no one came back to collect my credit card, and I eventually had to walk to the front to pay myself. Overall, very poor service and disappointing food,
