    I usually go to the Stop and Shop in East Lyme, because it is a better store than the one in Waterford. Today I went to the one in Waterford because I only had a few items to pick up and they are not anything that are hard to find. Common items. The cashier would not let me put my items on the counter. She was rude when she told me to take them off the counter.. I asked why and she said there would not be enough room for my items.I had 5 items, nothing large sized. The cashier had a bagger, so the other shopper was helped like she was someone special. And there was plenty of room for my 5 items on the counter. There were no express lanes at all open today, the cashier told me that. I will only go the your store only if I absolutely have to. Sincerely, Denise Foley

    The store is great, but the customer service representatives are not so great. Not all but the majority are just down right unfriendly. Then tonight 1/20/26 at 5pm I waited almost 20mins for service, then an employee comes from the back and puts up a closed sign. They didn't even communicate anything. I have been in customer service for over 30 years and I would have to say, this stop and shop has the worst. Do better!!!!!

    Can never get delivery right, don’t allow you to review substitutions. They send the email to review substitutions for delivery and then pack your shit up and send it anyway, 30 minutes before what their substitution email says. The employees packing it don’t know that 3 2lb bags of oranges equals 2 3lb bag of oranges, not one 3lb bag of oranges. Oh and don’t ever try getting 3 bags of chicken strips, impossible, you’ll always just get one regardless of day/time of delivery.

    Every time I go they have the slowest cashiers. And I don’t mean physically slow. Maybe don’t put the mentally disabled ones on register because clearly they can’t do anything right. Manager had to refund the entire order but had to scan every single item on a $120 order. Actually ridiculous. She also put her own phone number in after I put mine in. Weird.
