  I’ve driven past Philly Grill in Waterbury many times and kind of second-guessed it, but it really surprised me. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak with fries and it was amazing—full of flavor, fresh ingredients, and the fries were perfectly cooked. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and my food was brought right to my table. Great service and even better food. Definitely coming back! Update: I had to come back after how good my first visit was. This time I ordered the lamb and beef gyro with fries and it was absolutely delicious. The lamb and beef were cooked perfectly and seasoned just right, and the lettuce, tomato, and onions were fresh and crisp. Two visits in and they’ve been consistent with both quality and flavor. Can’t wait to try the wings next!

  Finally, a place that knows how to make a real cheesesteak. As someone born & raised in eastern PA, I wanted to see if this place could live up to the name. They got everything right. They even ship the bread in from Philly. The fries were out of this world. The owner was crazy nice and personal. I highly recommend.
