Whenever we are down in CT visiting the grandkids this is one stop we always make. LOVE the Bruegger Bagels. Very consistent in their product. Nice and chewy! So good I rarely put anything on my blueberry bagel. However my husband always gets a bacon egg and cheese on a cinnamon raisin bagel. I know it sounds like a strange combination but it's actually quite good. If you live here or just passing through you must 🛑 stop at a Brueggers Bagel shop! My only complaint is why isn't there a Brueggers Bagel shop "down east" here in Maine. Lol.

I placed an online order and attempted to make a payment, but received an error message stating, “Couldn’t take your payment, try again.” Assuming it didn’t go through, I called to place a pickup order and paid in store thinking the online order might have been declined since it was my first purchase in Connecticut. When reviewing my credit card statement, I discovered that the original online payment had actually been processed. When I called the store to address the issue the employee mentioned that several other customers had experienced the same problem. If that’s the case, the website should be taken down or there needs to be an option to pay in store so people don’t get stuck with fraudulent charges that they might not even know about. Additionally, when I requested to speak with a manager, I overheard the employee I was on the phone with being told to just take my complaint rather than allowing me to speak directly with management. The employee told me to call my bank, she might as well have told me to get lost that’s how unhelpful they were. This came across as unprofessional and dismissive. This happened to me recently where a restaurant charged me twice and they were very attentive to the issue and reversed the charge. I hope this business takes steps to address both the website issue and their customer service approach.

I never imagined I would find a McDonald's version of a bagel spot but here we are. This place is an insult to bagel spots. The bagels are very small circumference wise and overloaded with seasoning to the point it cut the roof of my mouth. I got my regular order ... ham, bacon, egg and a hashbrown on a garlic bagel with salt, pepper and ketchup. I was told they don't put the ketchup on the sandwich. I had to gather packets. When I saw that they were not cooking anything on a griddle I was concerned. I was right to be concerned. The bacon was thin and not crispy ... like McDonald's. The egg was a perfect circle ... like McDonald's. You can watch your food being prepared so at one point a little muffin was placed on the sandwich and smashed down into mush. I asked what was that and was told it was the hashbrown. Who makes muffin shaped hashbrowns? Whoever's idea that was should be fired. I also got an everything bagel with jalapeno cream cheese. The jalapeno cream cheese was overly spicy. It is supposed to be a nice blend ... edible. It was so spicy I was coughing so much I couldn't eat it. Also it was yellow for some reason??? When I open the sandwich with the hashbrown the smushed mess looked like vomit. I tasted a bit of it and it had cheese! I get some may want cheese in their hashbrown but that being the default is foul. I scraped it off and proceeded to destroy the roof of my mouth. I will say that the place was very clean and the employees were kind and attentive.
