  If it weren't for the general managers professional approach I would never go back to the store! I went to the store to get specific items that were advertised on their website... After walking around the store for a half hour searching each aisle I noticed that the items weren't there I asked people who worked at the store where can I find the items?.. grocery manager ms Rodriguez called me stupid telling me I'm not looking around right don't search Google etc and messed with my service animal..A Real gaslighter. I had no choice but to ask for corporate. Corporate numbers don't work... After speaking with the general manager I feel a better about possibly returning to the store but don't rely on their website for items that may or may not be there. It would have been one star ⭐ the general manager got the other two stars for that store.

  The Southbury Stop & Shop has gone significantly downhill over the last 2 years and this year is the worst I’ve ever seen it. There are constantly spoiled and rotten meats on the shelves every time I shop here. I always see gray/brown meats that are clearly spoiled yet instead of taking them off the shelves, they just mark them down. Recently I saw moldy cheese on the shelf. I have seen expired items on the shelves, and on several visits the grapes were spoiled. Another issue is the noticeable decline in cleanliness. The dairy shelves are dirty and messy with dirt, spills, and dead flies, particularly on the bottom of the cases. It’s clear these shelves are never thoroughly cleaned, and definitely aren’t being cleaned like they used to be. The floors which used to always be clean are now dirty and scuffed up. Numerous freezers are leaking. The produce shelves are also dirty. The seafood section sometimes smells fishy which makes me question the freshness of the product and cleanliness of the department. The pharmacy sign hasn’t been lit up since fall of 2023, they never fixed it since then. The store isn’t always well stocked and is usually understaffed. It’s a real shame how far downhill this store has gone. The managers over the last two years are awful. The majority of the assistant store managers throughout 2024, and 2025 have been and are a joke - they are rude, incompetent, and treat the store and employees like garbage. The current store manager is horrible. Never around and doesn’t seem to care at all. The previous manager wasn’t much better, that’s when the decline started. The store was remodeled in 2021 and was always very clean and well run until late 2023/early 2024 - then it’s severely declined ever since. Stop & Shop as a whole has gone way downhill and this store’s decline is a prime example of why I no longer shop at these stores.

  This stop& shop on Federal road in Brookfield, Connecticut has undergone a major facelift. It's like a completely new store. The layout has been changed significantly and it seems almost everything has been updated. The store was extremely clean and had plenty of inventory. Additionally, the interior was substantially increased.
