  The raspberry matcha was truly delicious. We had the lemon blueberry pancake special and it was the best part of our meal. Very friendly staff and a nice lake house vibe decor

  As a local who has been coming to Popover since they first opened, I can say without hesitation this place is a true gem in Mystic. Especially for anyone who is gluten-free, this is THE spot — hands down the most celiac-safe restaurant I'd recommend in the area. Their gluten-free waffles are absolutely incredible!!! The drink specials are fantastic too — I've loved so many of them. A staple in Mystic for good reason!

  Last Saturday we had our daughter's Bridal Shower at Pop Over's and it couldn't have been a more pleasant experience, right from the beginning. Pam (the owner) and her staff were fabulous, beyond helpful, attentive to detail, made wonderful suggestions, and went over and above anything we expected. The food was delicious, presented beautifully, and so fresh! The warm and friendly attitude and atmosphere of Pam's place was the perfect setting for a fun celebration. I have, and will continue to recommend Pop Over's to anyone looking for a place to hold a special event. Thanks again Pam!

  Pop Over hosted my bridal shower, and it was a delight from start to finish! Pam helped us plan a great menu before arriving, and she gave my family plenty of time to set up decorations before the shower began. She even arranged for stunning bouquets from local florist Michelle Duthrie, who I also 100% recommend. The cafe space is cheerful, bright, and welcoming. Pam and the rest of the team were on top of everything but still gave us our space, moving seamlessly in the background while we ate, drank, and played bridal shower games. The food was DELICIOUS — we had a crudité and hummus platter, chicken and waffles, and avocado toasts for appetizers, along with cocktails. We then got lemon herb chicken with burrata and roasted tomatoes; spring vegetable & gruyere quiche; and asparagus, roast potatoes, and orzo salad as sides. Everything was a cut above what I would have hoped for (and I loveeee food). For dessert, their chocolate chip cookies were some of the best I’ve had, with the chips still melting as we ate them. Great cupcakes and fruit bars, too! I’m grateful that Pam and the team at Pop Over made my special day so relaxed, fun, and again, delicious! All of our guests were happy and kept talking about the food. I’ve been eating the leftovers for 3 days now. Next time I’m in town, I’d stop by just for another cookie…or more likely, a very big lunch :)
