  Review of Dunkin’ Donuts – 135 Main St, Monroe, CT I recently visited the Dunkin’ Donuts location at 135 Main St, Monroe, CT, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The employee at the window made no effort to accommodate customers, simply saying that the payment “wouldn’t reach,” which forced people to stretch awkwardly or almost climb to hand over their card or cash. This approach felt unhelpful and made the transaction unnecessarily frustrating. The croissant I received was cold and hard, completely unlike how a croissant should be enjoyed. It was topped with cheese and clearly prepared carelessly. When I returned the croissant to the window to address the issue, the staff member claimed that I should have specified I wanted it heated. She refused to admit that the item had been served poorly, and her dismissive response made the situation feel very unprofessional and frustrating. Additionally, the staff member who had been taking orders with the microphone at the drive-thru came to the window during this interaction. She barely acknowledged the issue and simply said, “Okay, okay, leave it, just give them the pastry,” before walking away, further contributing to the sense of indifference. Overall, this visit fell far short of expectations in both customer service and product quality. The customer service at this location is truly horrible. I live nearby, and over the years my husband, my daughter before going to work, my son before going to college, and of course I, have all stopped here in the mornings. Each of us has had different frustrating experiences, yet until now, no one had ever written a review about it—but clearly, one day this had to be said. I sincerely hope management addresses these issues to ensure a better experience for future customers.

  I came on Friday night around 12 AM, and the line was huge — I honestly thought I’d have to wait at least 30 minutes to get my drink. Surprisingly, it only took about 5 minutes! When I picked up my drink and had a small chat with the guy working, I found out he was alone that night. Despite being by himself, he handled everything so efficiently and stayed super friendly and professional. Really impressed by his attitude and speed — great service even during the late hours!

  Big shout out to Cecilia! She is so friendly, always gets my order correct and is a genuinely great worker and as amazing with customers. It gets my day off to a great start interacting with such a lovely person every morning! Props to this place and especially to Cecilia! Give this woman a raise!

  This is Not Dunkin. It's a Disappointment. To call this establishment a functioning business would be a gross overstatement. The Monroe Dunkin' location on Main St is not merely "poor" or subpar it is a spectacular failure of service, organization, and basic quality control. It is, without a doubt, the single worst-run coffee franchise in the entire region. Walking through the front door is like stepping into a vortex like something out of Stranger Things. The in-store service area is routinely a shambolic mess, demonstrating a staggering lack of management oversight and respect for customers. But don't think the drive-through is any better. It merely trades internal chaos for external incompetence. On two separate occasions, the checkout system was completely non-functional, forcing needless delays and proving a technological inability to handle the one core task of a quick-service business: taking money in one instance they told me it would be free but then the manager held us captive for nearly ten minutes to check us out. The most insulting offense, however, lies in the product itself. To order a hot chocolates or anything, for that matter is to participate in a gamble on volume. It is now a predictable routine that more than twice, we have received hot chocolates that were shamefully half-filled. This isn't a mistake; it's a policy of deliberate skimping that feels less like an error and more like petty larceny. Paying full price for a half-cup is not just bad service it is an outright insult to the customer. . Avoid this particular Dunkin' at all costs unless you enjoy being overcharged for lukewarm air and frustrating technical failures. It is the absolute worst Dunkin' in the area.
