  ⸻ I’m taking the time to write this review because experiences like this are rare — and because having the right upper management truly makes or breaks a restaurant. We’re new to the area and tried Riko’s in Darien for the first time, and what we witnessed was impressive. The restaurant was packed, multiple sports teams and large walk-in parties filled the dining room , yet the entire operation ran smoothly. While we briefly waited for our table to be reset, we watched Joe G., the manager, maneuver tables and chairs across a full dining room to accommodate everyone. He was answering phones, directing staff, checking on guests, and even sharing the backstory of how Riko’s came to be , all without missing a beat. Despite the fast pace, there was no visible stress or chaos. If the staff was “in the weeds,” you’d never know it. Management stepped in physically to triage the rush, and everything came together like a seamless performance. Most establishments would collapse under that kind of influx , Riko’s Darien absorbed the pressure and kept service moving effortlessly. Our server, Leo, was knowledgeable about the menu and took real time helping us choose from all the great options. We never felt rushed and received the same attention as the regulars nearby. Joe G. has the kind of management presence that guarantees repeat business. My family and I will absolutely be back.

  Amazing. We were in the area to go to a children’s museum, and we are super happy we happened upon it. Customer service is extremely happy and welcoming. The staff was great at explaining how many pizzas I should get on a count of their size. The pizza was amazing a delicious bar style. I had the cheese, and the hot oil, and they were both incredible. My wife loved the hot oil, my two-year-old enjoyed cheese, and I loved both. The space is really cool, bar friendly, and restaurant friendly. You can’t go wrong. Go!

  Come here all the time but may make another choice in the future . Tonight there were 2 moms with about 5-6 kids in the front. The kids were yelling, screaming, opening and closing the front door over and over with cold air streaming in. Doing cartwheels in the bar area. Throwing food. By far the loudest group in the restaurant. Management did nothing about it. Parents oblivious or just didn’t care. It’s still a restaurant right?, not a playground. At least 10-15 other patrons noticed and negatively impacted their evening. Shocking behavior from the kids and parents. Zero decency. Management should direct them to the back or better yet ask them to leave.
