  Edit: Still choosing to sell defective merchandise: no required color comics section. See below. Selling defective products knowingly. The item is the New York Daily News. On Sunday it's supposed to have a Color Comics section and we pay 50 cents extra on top of the normal price specifically for this feature. This store makes a choice to omit the comic section. The comics come on a previous day to be added to the Sunday paper. These are either thrown out or knowingly not added to the Daily News. If the situation is that the store does not get the comics at all, wish I completely doubt, they are knowingly being supplied by a chosen supplier that is incompetent. Either way is completely unacceptable as I'm paying more and getting less. The other unprofessional situation is that they refuse, even after being repeatedly asked, to stock an adequate supply of the Daily News. If you don't go right when they're open, they're gone. I see that other one star ratings for the store have no response indicating a severe lack of care and responsibility. Responses to other reviews are merely cut and paste boilerplate impersonal responses. I need to see two things to change this rating. A specific response to this complaint, and a stockpile of New York Daily News papers that survives until lunch time. It's not that hard. Please

  Went to the bottle recycling room and only one of the plastic bottle machines was working. The others were out of order. Very disappointed. The only bright lining was the stop and shop employee who helped us manually with the bottles.

  I really enjoyed this store and it’s the shopping experience. They always have. I’m looking for reasonable prices and the people are always really friendly and helpful especially in a self check out. They’re really on top of it and they have many self checkout lines to help as the store is usually pretty crowded!!
