  Went to Stop & Shop Clinton to get some gas, prescriptions and food. Stopped to get gas 1st. Unfortunately the experience was NOT pleasant. The clerk charged me $35 for the gas though I received no product - I complained to the store manager who 1) basically denied it happened, 2) indicated he may look into it in a couple days, and 3) generally belittle my problem - basically he did not take my issue to warrant his effort - thus leaving without a resolution - basically I, the customer, was not worth the effort I left the store and went to the bank to verify that in deed the money was taken from my account and delivered to Stop & Shop. With this in hand I went back to Clinton Stop & Shop and talked to a different manager and a clerk. The clerk was argumentative and indicated it was some how my issue and not Stop & Shops'. The new manager just wanted me out of the store in which I offered my Stop & Shop card (36 years) to the manager and left It appears Stop & Shop is NOT your friendly neighborhood grocery - There are two other stores that would like to keep long term customers - apparently Stop & Shop Clinton is not one of them
