- AAAlexJan 3, 20262.0The store has good products at good prices, and the check out people in the self-serve area are friendly and pleasant to deal with. However, on top this, this store has developed a culture of surveillance and uncivil suspicion that rivals an East German workplace in 1973. Parts of their work force shadow people, jump to conclusions, and may bark out "security alert" on the store's PA system without real cause. Their inner secret police suspect theft long before anyone has avoided paying for anything. (I am not the first person to point this out). It's not rational, not friendly, and, most significantly, utterly un-necessary. They avoid many simpler ways of ascertaining that a customer is within the law: like calmly watching them pay for their stuff and getting a receipt instead of a) wasting a lot of energy jumping to conclusions b) insulting and alienating regular customers with this hokum. This is sadly unique in my experience of grocery shopping nationwide and abroad.

And to make matters worse some weirdo employee at the self checkout was peeking at me and my spouse at the self checkout! They were trying to be sneaky by hiding behind a shelf but I saw them! However, I find that the staff is often unwelcoming and rude when I need assistance. I would prefer to drive 10 to 15 minutes to shop at a better store with friendly and respectful employees. I still give two stars only because I bought what I needed.
