This is illegal under Connecticut law. They're supposed to give you the item free of charge for up to $20 for consumable items once the price discrepancy is pointed out.

Then we came back thirty minutes later and asked a different person if they had the boo books and they said yes they have two full brand new cases in the back and how much would we like to purchase. Basically she lied about charitable boo books. Everytime we go we get attitude from that exact manager. We are met with rudeness when we’ve been donating for a good cause.
