  Why would the meat department put plastic in the pick 4 for $20 meat? Put the chicken fajitas in the pan to cook them and there’s plastic all throughout it! What is wrong with you guys?

  Premium prices, weird staff lol. Just tried to buy something at self checkout, there's no crowd here because it's 7am so it's not busy at all - it was a clearance item and the kiosk scanned it and then got stuck saying coupon needed employee override and then said "help is on the way" over and over and over again, no one came at all, no employee approached or seemed to notice, no way to cancel or exit out of the screen or skip the item.. I shrugged after standing there waiting for a long time and looking around for anyone coming. I gave up, moved over to the next self checkout, and scanned the rest of my things again leaving the problem items behind on the other counter. Then after I had checked out and got my receipt suddenly now there was an employee behind me who apparently had been standing there the entire time behind the wall watching and doing/saying nothing (oh yeah that's not creepy at all lol). Now he's brightly telling me to have a nice day as though this was all just normal ??? lol I had to point him directly at the still-speaking stuck checkout (still saying over and over "help is on the way") and tell him it didn't work and that I had left items on it - then with absolutely no sense of urgency he just walked over and cleared it I guess, as I walked out. So weird. Sleepwalking employees at self checkout? High 🍃 employees?? haha Safeway you might as well just buy Walmart's Scan & Go AI, at this point. 🤪 Not coming back, nothing appealing about this store especially the outrageous prices.

  Shopping in-store is great, but plan on an employee just staring at you oddly while you scan and bag all your own groceries. Online pickup and delivery orders are disappointing. They charge for items that never make it to my door and give you the worst produce! Tried Freshpass and was met with the same disappointment. They deliver items across the neighborhood, and I had to drive to load it all into my car. Ice cream fully melted and loading 35 lb cat litter from a neighbor's house into my car... ridiculous. Entirely defeats the purpose of delivery. If you want your money back, they send you to a third-party hut in India where no one speaks clear english and you will be placed on hold indefinitely; nothing is resolved. It's been disappointing every single time, so I cancelled and will not use Safeway delivery since they do not have a single competent person to deliver.

  100% disappointed in the way they handle orders :(. First time using Safeway delivery, they go through DoorDash and Uber Eats, (which it does not tell you that or I never would’ve ordered delivery) the lady that refunded my order was super rude and just hung up on me, but I will say Kendra was the only competent helpful person I spoke to. I don’t recommend their delivery services.

  You really have to watch the sell by date on all items in this store. I don’t know how they can sell these items and not watch what they are doing??? I have stopped buying groceries at the Windsor Safeway.
