The ambiance is excellent and what made our dinner the best were Kristen and Meagan at the bar who have to be the best bartenders/servers in Vail. My date and I had dinner at the bar instead of a table because those 2 were so much fun. There was problem during dinner (not their fault) that detracted significantly from our enjoyment and we addressed it with Jay (the manager). Kristen and Meagan went out of their way to be kind and make things right.

Very average restaurant priced up as “fine dining” for no reason. The food was not particularly good, the service was pushy and scammy, and both the food and drinks menus were rather small and basic. The prices for the dishes had me thinking the entire time, “how egotistical do you have to be to charge this much for a simple dish such as risotto or gnocchi”? If you know anything about Italian cuisine, you would know gnocchi is a humble dish originated from times of poverty - wheat was too expensive to mill so people used potato. Same exact story for risotto - a peasant meal from its origin. Risotto is a first course - not a second course - by the way. I of course am sounding like a snob, but if you’re gonna price these simple dishes like one, I’ll critique it like one. The service was very pushy, and gimmicky, the server genuinely made two comments about how this is fine dining. Throw down a white tablecloth before saying something like that. And no, my jacket is fine on the back of my chair, please don’t ask me twice. It’s not disturbing the restaurant’s aesthetic because this is the lower floor of a hotel in Vail Colorado where everybody’s sunburnt with helmet hair, not the Plaza Hotel. I think instead of trying to read how fat the pockets are of the table to gauge how much you can upsell us, you should focus on reading the table and maybe letting us enjoy a meal consisting of the things we would like to eat and drink with nothing more. I looked around and not one table had full, laughing people ordering drink after drink and desserts, if this starts to spell out the problem. Just tourists getting robbed and not looking comfortable about it in the slightest. If you have money to burn, have no care for Italian cuisine, nor a lively environment, come here. If not, I redirect you to La Nonna - Italian executive chef who prices modestly, especially for Vail Valley. Fattoria in Avon is excellent as well, my personal favourite. Ti Amo in Eagle Vail is the favourite for most around here. None of these will leave you with a sore feeling when you pay the bill, and keep you from ordering what you really want to eat and drink because of prices. I absolutely will spend (maybe too much) money on a great meal, but not a mediocre one! The reason I’m writing this review is that I am personally offended at my experience. For a mediocre meal and pushy service, we spent over $100/person. My family felt awkward when ordering which was not a good feeling at all - going out to eat should be an experience so warming you forget about the bill. Best of luck while ironing these issues out.

Food price with portion sizes ia ridiculous. We paid 120 for gnochi with white truffles and the truffles must not have been fresh because it was not very aromatic or could taste them the flavor was ok but lord those portion sizes, ribeye was ok not great. My son had a rigatoni pasta for 56 that he liked it but wanted to order another one because of how small it was. Appetizers were pretty good rest mehhh. Wine they put bottle far from me and I had to tell them to bring it close since they were never available to serve it. Server was nice. I don’t think I will be back we are from Miami we are use to great food this was not it. This place would not survive in Miami I have my doubts if it will survive here to be honest. People say Carbone is over rated ect but Carbone food is twice better than this for 60% the price

I feel like this restaurant took advantage of me. This dinner out was one big joke. First off, the food took forever to come out. Then after finally getting my 7oz Ribeye for $87, it was obvious it sat out for a while with no sense of urgency to bring it to us. The portion sizes for the price should be criminal. I felt ripped off, and it didn’t even taste that good. The menu reads that butternut squash comes with the Ribeye, look at my picture. There is a single teaspoon of butternut squash. Absolutely unbelievably horrible experience, don’t waste your time or money.

Extremely disappointing experience. The food took forever to come out, and when it finally arrived, the portions were shockingly small for the price. Everything is overpriced, yet the taste was completely average at best — nothing memorable, nothing impressive. For what they charge, the quality and execution are nowhere near acceptable. This restaurant is absolutely not worth the money or the wait. Do not recommend.
