Overall, I love Sonic. They always have great deals that make it easy to get fed for cheap when you’re short on cash. This location has been good for the most part, with an occasional long wait, but pretty quick service on average. Today, the carhop *literally* sprinted to my car with my food within 10-15 seconds of checking in lol.
Other than one bad experience* and a few long wait times (that have resolved by changing how I order**) I have had great service and food at this location. Sonic has always been an amazing bargain and a life-saver when I’ve been struggling financially, or simply an affordable option if I’ve forgotten to pack lunch or time crunches keep me from meal prepping. You can get a sizable meal (800-1,000+ calories) for ~$5 including an entree, a drink, and a side when you use the deals in the app, there are almost always several good choices, so you can mix it up regularly, but there’s also plenty other regularly great-priced items too.
*A worker at this location once came out pointing at me from the kitchen entrance and yelling for me to come inside in quite a rude fashion. When I got out of my car, confused as to why I was being screamed at as if I did something damningly unforgivable, I was told “doordashers need to come inside at this location, you can’t wait at the stall! Come on!!”… I, however, had placed an order and checked in through the Sonic app as usual. When I said this, the lady that was yelling at me just turned around and walked away without a word… So I went back out to my car and someone else brought my food out about 3-4 minutes later.
**I’ve learned that ordering food “ASAP” often results in long wait times of 10+ minutes sometimes, which can be tough since I am usually coming on my 30-minute break, so I then have to scarf the food down on my way back. For whatever reason, this wait time can be almost entirely forgone by reserving a specific pick-up time, even if it’s only 5-6 minutes out.
If you’re in a crunch, I’d say always try to schedule a pick ip time for right when you’ll arrive, and you’ll get your food straight away.
PS:
I don’t really eat at *any* other fast food restaurant… It’s always simply too expensive, tastes like it’s been sitting out for ages, and is rarely “fast” at all anymore. Somehow Sonic just seems to have it down.
