They didnt offer me to refund that portion of my purchase or any say in the matter at all, and just decided to substitute something else. I feel that an in-person cashier could have communicated this. But I dont understand why if an item isn't available in the kitchen, why its available on the menu. I hate that all ordering is now directed through the automated menu. It lacks the personal touch, friendliness, and order accuracy that a human provides, all in the name of increased profit margin. Mcdonalds has turned into an overpriced vending machine.
