Really wanted to like this place after reading reviews, unfortunately it fell extremely short and we will never return. Overall the taste was too bland and boring. I've been to a lot of authentic Mexican restaurants and their dishes were packed full of flavor. The only way to get a sense of flavor from these dishes was to either load up on hot sauce or salt if you wanted to taste anything. What really made this experience treacherous though was the size of the chicken bone found in the enchiladas... DEAR GOD! It was absolutely massive. This is the kind of thing that will unquestionably cause someone to choke. I can't look past something like this, as it clearly shows a lack of oversight and supervision in the kitchen. Nothing that large should make it past any prep cook. Period.

From the food, service to atmosphere, this place knocks it out of the park. Been going here for years, and have NEVER been disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff, keeps me going back, even though I moved 70 miles away. Yes, it's that great.

Decided to finally give Casa Mariachi a try after driving by it for several years. From the outside I didn’t expect it to be anything fancy, but I was surprised to see it fairly crowded on an early Tuesday evening. The staff seemed friendly, though a bit overwhelmed, and service was a little slow (which was understandable given how busy it was). Unfortunately, the food was really disappointing. I’ve been to a lot of Mexican restaurants and have a pretty good sense of what “average” is, and this was definitely below that. I ordered the tacos El Carbon and was surprised when they came out completely smothered in sauce to the point that you couldn’t actually pick them up and eat them like tacos. I’ve honestly never had that happen at any other Mexican restaurant. I work in construction and have a pretty solid appetite, and normally I would have finished the whole plate given the portion size, but I just couldn’t stomach it. It didn’t taste very good and didn’t resemble any tacos al carbon dish I’ve had before. My wife had the chimichangas and felt the same way — she found them really unappetizing and ended up leaving most of her meal as well. About halfway through our meal, a horrible smell filled the restaurant. It smelled like burning paper and plastic, and for a moment I honestly thought there might be a kitchen fire and the place might need to be evacuated. The smell eventually faded, but it lingered long enough to make the experience even worse. Also, this seems to be a very popular spot for birthday celebrations. Within about 15 minutes, four different tables were being serenaded by staff. I appreciate the effort to celebrate customers, but having it happen over and over in such a short span was a bit over the top and made it hard to enjoy what was already a disappointing meal. Overall, we were pretty let down after finally deciding to try this place.
