Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Numerous customers reported extremely slow service, particularly in the drive-thru, with wait times often exceeding 20-30 minutes.

Staff Friendliness
Many reviews highlighted friendly and helpful staff, although there were instances of poor service and disorganization.

The girl who took my order was nice, but overall the service was extremely slow. The staff seemed a bit awkward and disorganized, which made the wait even more noticeable. Unfortunately, when the food finally arrived it was dry and not very enjoyable.

We’ve been driving for about 13 hours and thought it’d be nice to get out and dine in only for it to be closed.
I thought Whataburger’s brand was that it was open 24 hours, like literally all their signs and doors say in big lettering.

They always, always screw up orders at night. I’d say 4/5 have been wrong. God forbid you order any chicken, they’ll send you out to the “penalty box” to wait 15 minutes so they keep their metrics up.
And now they charge you a dollar for a single sauce, not even extra, with a meal? Ridiculous.
Staff after 8 is usually just kids joking around half the time who mess up any order requests like no lettuce, etc. Really annoying.

Great burger!! I like my hamburgers with onions and pickles , and it was perfectly portioned. I ordered onion rings and they were nice and crispy. Staff was nice.. This whataburger has an outdoor area to play corn hole and a various games.. I didn't do any of that , but I thought , why not come back in the summer. Denver needs to get some Whataburgers.
