I simply cannot recommend Passenger enough; Chef Madhoo and her team have done incredible things with the menu and the space. Dicken's Opera house has never looked better and this is the most interesting menu in the area. From appetizers to desserts and everything in between, well thought out flavors and incredible fusions of food. The best potatoes I've EVER had, hands down (not to mention arepas and birria and brusell sprouts....) I am already looking forward to my next chance to visit :)
Thank you!!

I would like to start this by saying that I was a server for many years, and also that this is truthfully my first time leaving a review for anything.
Never in my life have I experienced a worse lunch experience. We were sat for roughly 30 minutes before we were greeted, and it took almost an additional 30 minutes for our drinks to be delivered to the table. When we did get our food (roughly an hour after being seated), one member of our tables food was forgotten, and he had to physically get up and ask a member of staff if he could get his food as the rest of us were almost done/ food had gone cold waiting so he would not eat alone. Food was ok, but after almost 2 hours in the restaurant we were tired and just wanting to go home.
Now, while that was slightly annoying this next part is truly why this place is getting 1/5 stars. When we were closing our tab, the kind waitress told us we were getting a 50% off discount because of the incredible hassle of the experience. We thanked her, paid almost $200 for our meal, and left. About 2 hours later, my family member gets 2 calls back to back from an unknown number, and when she answers it is the restaurant. Basically they tell her we should not have gotten the discount, and that we actually needed to pay them MORE MONEY despite their mistake. When we explained how we were told this discount was given to us for how late our food was, we were told that was wrong and we still needed to pay. We had already paid $200, including a 25% tip as we could tell how stressed the poor waitress was, and this ridiculous place had the audacity to call and ask for more money. We got the sob story on how it was not their fault and the technology was having issues, but that we still owed them money despite closing our tab. This was without a doubt the worst dining experience I have ever had, and would not return even if they paid me.

I will never go back! I truly love the venue and building, but Easter brunch sealed the deal for me. I called and asked if they were having a buffet. I was told yes, but no carving station. We arrived and waited 5-10min. While staff after staff walked by and ignored us. We were taken to 2 small single tops for 4 people, 2 of us facing the wall. No buffet. We walked out, even though I paid $60 to secure reservations. Never again.

Great spot all around. The food was excellent, drinks were on point, and the atmosphere had a really good vibe without being too loud or crowded. Service stood out the most—friendly, attentive, and quick without feeling rushed. You can tell the staff actually cares about the experience. Definitely a place I’ll be coming back to and recommending to others. Big shout out Seo and Haley!!!!

My goodness, what a bust tonight was! We have waited 2 years to try this place out after having heard of all of their "growing pains". We figured by now they would have worked out the kinks. We were wrong. We arrived around 6:30pm on a Friday and stood waiting to be addressed for a while. Without a sign up, I never want to assume I should seat myself. My husband and I were finally greeted and told to sit anywhere. We planned in grabbing a couple of drinks and handful of tapas plates to share. I ordered the rosebud motel to drink. It was all syrup and very very sweet. We ordered the birria tacos, Nigerian beef skewers, and fried sweet potatoes and let our server know we likely would order more, but would start with those 3. She brought 2 of the 3 plates out. We waited and waited for the 3rd. Tried to flag her down several times. Finally we gave up and decided to leave. She didn't come back to check on us until about 30 minutes after we'd received the 2 plates. Sitting there for 15 plus minutes with empty plates and drinks. When she finally returned we just asked for the check. When I asked her to remove the 3rd plate we never received, she acted surprised. "Oh, it never came out?" No, it never came out, you never checked on us, and you never asked if we wanted to order more. Otherwise you would have known. Missed opportunity, but I'm not going to beg you to take my money.
Now the food.....the consume for the birria tacos had the most odd flavor that neither of us could nail down, but it wasn't a good flavor. It tasted chemically. No idea what they did there. The beef skewers (2 tiny little things) were rough, and unseasoned. The peanut sauce they were paired with was great at least, but served cold and unappealing. Every less than positive review I've seen here for similar experiences was met with a novel from the owner and assurance that these issues have been corrected, when clearly this is a now years long pattern. The service and food are far sub par. The fact that this place was pretty dead at almost 7pm on a Friday speaks volumes. My husband and I have worked many years in the service industry. It takes A LOT for us to tip less than 20%. Tonight was one of those nights. We will not be back.
