I was surprised it was gone (it had been there for years) and when I asked they said "a customer had complained so they took it down." Well that small pride flag was the only reason I would drive across town to shop at the Safeway on Hover. The store managed and pharmacy manager are reaching out to HR and legal to see if they can put the tiny pride flag back up. I hope so.
- BLBob LarryFeb 25, 20261.0The florist that was working today at 11:30 had horrible customer service. Went in with a budget of at least $200 to spend on flowers for arrangements for a funeral. She walked by me several times huffing and stomping. Not greeted once. When I was searching through all the flowers clearing looking at everything trying to decide what I like (the flowers were starting to brown and there was not a good selection anyways). She came and took all the flowers I was standing at and replaced them with vased floral arrangements. When I walked to another area where there was a larger selection of fresher looking flowers (in buckets on the floor) she snapped at me and said "those are not for sale" with the most disgusted look on her face. Mind you this was the first thing she said to me after about 20 minutes of being there. I had about $75 worth of flowers in my cart and asked if she had a spare bucket for me to carry all these in, which she said very rudely "NO". I have done many many floral jobs in my life and not once ever has a florist been so horrible, disrespectful or unwillimg to help a customer. I put everything back and drove straight to King Soopers where the florist was very pleasent, way better floral selection, cheaper AND buckets for me to carry the many many flowers I purchased. I have not been to Safeway in years and now I remember why.
