Great food and very cute interior. Waiter was super nice even when we sat there and just talked for awhile since it was slow he didn't mind.

I was so excited to see a new breakfast spot open up in the neighborhood, especially with a fun and youthful name like “Longmont Brunch Club.” I thought it would be a fresh change to the city’s offerings, but sadly, I left disappointed, and so did my non-foodie husband. When you walk in, it’s got a modern feel (a contradiction to the signage on the front of the building, which is not modern at all.) The menu is pretty typical for a diner, maybe slightly elevated from your Aunt Alice’s Kitchen, but sadly the ingredients, quality, and portions do not align with their pricing. When the waiter first came over to ask for our drink order, I asked who they use for their coffee (because I like to support local roasters.) I appreciate good coffee with my breakfast, but because there is a specialty coffee shop next door they’re competing with, and there’s no excuse in 2025 to not be supporting local roasters as a local business yourself, I was surprised when the waiter said their coffee is from Shamrock Foods (which is a large food distributor.) Ehhh. Might as well be offering Folgers. So I playfully said, “Ahh you guys should look into using a local roaster!” and the waiter looked at me blankly, so I shut my mouth and ordered a cappuccino, hoping the milk would mask any potential unpleasantries of the coffee. But then a different waiter came back and said their espresso machine wasn’t working, so my only option was to order a regular coffee. Took 2 sips and could not do it. I REALLY didn’t want to be rude and go next door for coffee, but it was so watery and unbalanced that I didn’t have much of a choice. When I came back with the drink that I wanted from the get go, the waiter walked over, and thankfully with a good sense of humor, he joked about how “they really let me down with the cappuccino.” I apologized to him (not really sure why I apologized, in retrospect, but I digress) and my cup of diner coffee sat at the end of the table visibly full for the rest of our visit. Then the food arrived. I ordered the “classic” eggs Benedict, which was sadly on Ciabatta (does anyone ACTUALLY like Ciabatta? I thought it was just a trend of the early 2000’s.) Not only was it dry and hard to cut into, but there were literally 2 chintzy, paper-thin slices of ham that barely covered half of the bread, so 75% of my bites were just of bread and egg. It was so out of balance, I wish I had taken a photo of it. And it was $16! It also made me wonder if they had anyone not affiliated with the restaurant test out their dishes before they decided to open. I was getting hangry by this point, so I ate all of it. The saving grace was the hash browns, which were cooked perfectly. The fruit cup was 99% made up of out-of-season fruits (watermelon, honeydew, and 1 single grape.) For once, I’d love to see a fruit cup that doesn’t just feel like it was placed there as filler. It would have been reasonable to pay $10-$12 for this meal, but not $16. When the check came, guess what, they still charged me $3 for the still-full cup of watery coffee that sat on the edge of our table, despite them knowing and joking about not being able to offer what I originally ordered and me having to go next door to get it. This would have been such an easy way to salvage my disinterest in returning, but instead, they chose $3 over delighting a customer (on Christmas Eve, nonetheless), which was the cherry on top of the cake for me. At this point, I don’t foresee them staying open long with their current offerings and price points. Running a restaurant is difficult, let alone trying to do it in 2026 with prices as high as they are. They need to decide if they want to prioritize quality or revenue, because currently, it seems they’re more interested in revenue than creating a menu and customer experience that will make people actually want to return. We have plenty of diners in Longmont, and it would be really nice to see one of them do something DIFFERENT, or even better than the others.

I went to brunch today with a group of 16 (plus my toddler)—not only was the food really good, but I was so impressed by such a gracious staff. Walking in, I immediately noticed how clean the space was and how beautifully decorated everything felt. The atmosphere struck that perfect balance of being stylish and welcoming, which made it a really comfortable place to settle in with a large group. Despite our party size, the service was seamless. The staff handled everything with ease and kindness, checking in often and making sure everyone had what they needed. I also noticed another large party in the main dining area and I thought to myself, it’s not easy to host a 2 groups that big—especially with a toddler in the mix—but they did it with such patience and warmth. I thought their food was excellent; I ordered their Veggie Omelette with hashbrowns. Between the great service, the clean and thoughtfully designed space, and the delicious food, it was such a positive experience. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a great brunch spot.
