I ordered a mesa bowl with al pastor. Something didn’t taste right with the sauce. The chicken was gummy too. I might not be accustomed to the spices used (grew up with authentic Mexican food made by my mom and grandmother). My mom ordered nopales and mushrooms, but she also did not like the red sauce. We did have great service and the restaurant was beautiful. I don’t think I’ll return for the food, but I might try the drinks next time.

For apps we ordered the queso dip and chips, plantains and wings, which were fantastic. The queso is thick, flavorful and packs a little kick, and the chips were hot and very crunchy. We also ordered the plantains (a must) which are served over refried black beans and coated with cheese and sour cream; all which will fascinate your taste buds. The last app we had were the wings which we ordered extra crispy and both flavors. The chef cooked them to perfection and their two flavors definitely add a unique but delicious twist. For our dishes we had the steak salvadoreño, enchiladas, mesa bowl and shrimp risotto. Each plate had great flavor, the meat tasted fresh, the spices were on point and the salsas tasted authentic. We will definitely be back! On a side note- a lot of people expressed concerns regarding the wait time for their dish. Though we did wait a bit for our main course, our apps came out fairly quick; the wait is well worth it. I suggest ordering an app or two if you’re really hungry so it can hold you off.
