  We traveled from California and had a reservation for 2045 through open table. We got there at 2036 and they told us the kitchen was closed for the day. As we arrived the Valet guy without saying hi he instantly said "our kitchen is closed". That gave us bad vibes to begin with. This was going to be my second time there and was super excited to bring my gf for the first time. First experience was good but this time it was very unprofessional. We ended up going to a diff steak house close by (Mannings steak and spirits). They took care of us and welcomed us unlike Simms.

  Steaks were overcooked and when we questioned it, the waiter shined his phone flashlight on it and said the lighting in the room is weird. Drinks were good but everything else was mediocre, and expensive. Would not recommend, or return.

  On April 3rd, my husband and I went to Simms Steakhouse for our 40th anniversary, we had never been. Our waiter was Hank and he was average, at best. I ordered the Surf & Turf (wagyu sirloin and a small lobster tail) and a loaded baked potato. Per the suggestion of Hank, I ordered my steak medium plus. I was excited because I've never had wagyu and was eager to finally try it. My husband ordered a sirloin and a baked potato with just butter. His steak he ordered was rare. When the dishes arrived, my husband's steak was medium plus and I dug into the lobster tail because I like them hot. It was good. When I went to cut into the steak, it was raw/rare. We *finally* flagged down Hank and I showed him my steak and he said "that's rare at best", took it back only to bring it back still rare. We told him we thought the orders were switched and he couldn't have cared less. My loaded baked potato wasn't done, it was crunchy, my husband's baked potato was the same. He never asked us what brought us in, not that really was a breaker, but my husband and I *rarely* go out, so this was going to be a big treat for us and we were extremely disappointed. I took maybe two bites from the steak, around the very edge because it was so disgusting to me and only ate a little of the potato because it too was raw. For almost $200, we walked out, me still hungry and my husband disappointed in a night that we should be celebrating. It was a Saturday night, and as we were leaving, we noticed the restaurant was half empty. Now we know why. I really wished we would have picked a different steakhouse for our 40th Wedding Anniversary. Signed, Disappointed and won't go back or recommend.

  This is the third time we have tried to do Easter brunch. Last year we did not enjoy it at all, but decided to try again. This will be the last time we go here. The food overall was cold even when they would just bring it out. The crab legs were overcooked along with most products. The French toast was the only redeeming item. The server was nice but we had to wait so long for refills after paying for $4.50 for a soda. Disappointment is an UNDER statement after spending $170. I just wanted some great food to go with the view, that did not happen.

  Second time in the last couple of months. 1st time I got sick from something and didn’t even finish my meal. It was not good. Today we had called for reservations 2 weeks ago for brunch reservations and the only times left were 8:30 or 2:30. We opted for 2:30. We were there early by 10 minutes and were not seated till 3:10. I understand it was Easter but why have a reservation. The food was well picked over and most looked like it had sat for a while. Our water glasses were filthy and our server brought us new ones that were equally just as filthy. At one of our trips to the buffet we came back to the table with 4 used water glasses sitting at the edge of the table that weren’t ours. It was very odd and even our server asked where they came from. We had no clue. At $75 a person I was very disappointed that we weren’t told that brunch normally ended at 2 but today was ending at 3. We saw nothing refilled and were very shocked that Simms would allow this. Don’t know that we will be back as our friends love going. There are way better choices for steaks and brunch. Just wish we had made the better choice today too.
