  My family and I have been wanting to go to Simms steakhouse for a while. We tried to get reservations for Christmas and they were booked. We decided to go out as a family with my boyfriend, myself and my mom and dad. We got there, the ambiance was lovely, there was a fire and a nice bar. We walked to our table and it was set up beautifully. We also had a nice view of the Denver Skyline as well. When we walked in our waiter took us to our table and I could tell he was really sarcastic with us. He made passive aggressive comments to my mom. I think he was trying to be funny. But it came off rude. We sat down and got our appetizers. We had the shrimp cocktail and the calamari which was superb. Then our waiter brought out the bread for the table. It was literally the best bread and butter I ever had at a restaurant. My boyfriend asked for more bread, the waiter never came back with more bread. The food was excellent. But the service does not live up to the atmosphere or the scenery. We ordered our entres and waited for the food to come. Randomly a food runner brought a bread pudding desert on our table. We were confused and tried to get someone and let them know, it wasn't ours. We couldn't find our waiter. It was just sitting there. Since we couldn't find anyone, we decided to eat it and dig in. The waiter came back and was confused about how the desert got there. Our waiter took our order, he never asked my boyfriend how he wanted his prime rib cooked. It came out practically raw. I ordered the salmon. It was good but I remembered I also ordered the Simms chopped salad and I never got the salad. I asked for the salad after I finished my salmon. The waiter took a very long time to come back to our table and ask how it was. I asked him for a desert menu. He made a sarcastic joke that since we already ate desert, we didnt need the desert menu. Huh? So your staff accidentally dropped off a desert we didnt order and we ate it, we shouldn't order desert if we want to? The waiter just seemed like he didn't care or wanted to make the experience nice for us. We think it's because my family doesn't drink and since we didnt order any drinks we didnt rack up the bill for another 100 dollars, so he spent more time at tables that would give him a bigger tip. We are also very average people, we don't dress fancy or look like we have alot of money, so he treated us differently. Great food, great atmosphere. Service not so good

  The atmosphere was very loud. Sort of gave me a small headache. Food was amazing. The steak was juicy and buttery and the drinks were powerful but delicious. The only thing about the steak that I had a sort of problem with was that it was medium rare when I asked for medium, but it was still delicious. I got a Shirley Temple and my friend got an Ocean breeze mocktail. So yummy. We had two very big parties around us. That’s probably what made it really loud especially tonight.

  Had an amazing dinner at Simms Steakhouse! The steaks were cooked perfectly, the seafood was fresh and flavorful, and the service was attentive from start to finish. The panoramic views overlooking the city made the whole experience even more special. Definitely one of the best spots in the area for a memorable night out!

  What's there to say? Awesome place to eat awesome views food was amazing. The omelet station was delicious. The biggest complaint I had was, it was hard to find a clean plate.There were 2 3 stacks of plates on two tables as you entered the buffet line and the plates were dirty.That is my only complaint other than that.I may not be back

  We went to the restaurant last night specifically to enjoy their Valentines special menu which the website says was available the 13-15th. We were told after asking for the special menu that it didn't start until the 14th even though the web site definitely says the 13. When we pointed it out to our waitress and she asked the chef he said no they won't have that menu until the 14th. That is why I made the reservations in the 1st place. The service was extremely slow. It was at least 10 min before anyone greeted us at our table. My daughter in laws prime rib was way over cooked to the point of being gray. How disappointing for a restaurant that has been excellent in the past.
