  The view from Simms Steakhouse is undeniably beautiful — it’s the highlight of the experience and sets high expectations for the evening. Unfortunately, the service and overall dining experience don’t measure up to the premium price point. For a restaurant positioned as upscale, the attention to detail, attentiveness of staff, and overall atmosphere felt lacking. While the setting is impressive, the service left me feeling disappointed. At this price level, you expect seamless hospitality and a memorable experience, but instead it felt ordinary and at times inattentive. The disconnect between the stunning view and the underwhelming service makes the evening feel less special than it should. In short: come for the view, but don’t expect the level of service or overall experience that the cost suggests.

  This place was beyond perfect for a birthday dinner date night. The food was so delicious and the staff was so kind and attentive. The views and ambiance was beautiful and relaxing. Tomahawk steak was perfection and the mussels I can’t wait to back for those.

  I waited a few days before posting this to be sure I still felt a review was warranted and unfortunately, I do. This is a beware post in case you're going here expecting top-notch food like I was. I dined at Simms Steakhouse a few nights ago and ordered the $57 Filet Mignon, expecting a level of quality that matches the price point. Unfortunately, the steak was poorly butchered - the chain was still attached, and I had to cut around the silver skin that should have been trimmed during prep. When I visit a high-end steakhouse, I expect attention to detail and proper technique, not something that feels rushed or careless resulting in me having to cut away precious oz of steak. I could have spent a third of the price at a place like Texas Roadhouse and likely gotten a better-cut filet that would even melt in your mouth more than mine did at Simms. The sides didn’t redeem the meal either - the cream of spinach had tough, inedible stems, and the brussels sprouts, while tasting fine, had a strange “chips-like” smell that was off-putting. I’ve always had great experiences at Landry’s restaurants like Chart House, so this visit was especially disappointing. I genuinely hope this was an off night rather than the standard at Simms. To be fair, our server was excellent as were our drinks, but for nearly $300, the food quality fell far below expectations. I’d maybe be willing to give Simms another chance someday, but definitely not at my own expense after this experience. Oh, and Landry's website is either broken or built to not allow feedback because I wanted to reach out directly instead of writing a bad review but here we are...

  Emerson took amazing care of us tonight and had great suggestions. My drink 🍸 was very good the vanilla one. NY strip steak was also amazing. I always eat A1 sauce on my steak but the peppercorn sauce was over the top. My new favorite sauce.

  My review is specific to a rehearsal dinner hosted in early October. Everything went very great and a very special night was had by all. Working with Mark on the menus (bar, cocktail hour, dinner and dessert) and all event details went smoothly. He was very easy to reach and he was a great interim with the kitchen staff as we had 4 people with celiac in our group. I appreciated all his help in planning. On the night of the event, Nicole and Jackson were our prompt, courteous and professional. They were very attentive to every detail. Jackson even helped with technical difficulties i was having with my slideshow. Thank you to Mark, Nicole, and Jackson for helping create a memorable evening. The food was excellent and the space was beautiful. Thank yall so much! - Angela
