Look, it's not their fault, but my by far favorite thing was the chicken chicharrones with the dips, but it's not available for lunch?? I was hoping they'd at least offer me some as a snack when they told me, but no.
Otherwise the chicken is always pretty spot on here and their beers are all pretty good. Never disappointed when I visit a Post (well other than this last time)

I got the Wednesday special fish and chips. The fries were old and oversalted and the fish had been reheated a few times and chewy not fresh and fluffy. I may or may not go back. Very disappointing.

Best place to the worst place in just about a year. A new, clueless MBA has clearly taken over. TLDR: Terrible food, worse service.
The food? Smaller portions than ever, covered in sugary slop. Example: The chicken and waffles 2.0 is inedible. It's a bowl of sugar syrup on a melted waffle. Like, how dumb are you to put this slop on a "waffle" and still call it a waffle and not a mass of wet dough?
The staff? Annoying as heck now. They HAVE to harass you every 5 minutes, like actually HAVE to. If you take a drink of your WATER, the servers HAVE to come harass you to upsell a drink. You can tell even they are miserable.
And on that note, 80% of the company quit this summer, that says a lot. The management is insufferable.
The atmosphere? They changed from "the post chicken and beer" and their heritage as the old VFW post station, to some fake, conservative family cowboy theming.... in the middle of boulder county colorado? What? Even the their master brewer is getting annoyed with them dumbing everything down to the lowest common denominator. Also, the kids. The freaking kids. They run around screaming, throwing things, bickering, and the management and parents do NOTHING.
RIP the post. You were great, now you are literally the worst place in Lafayette.
in B4 the worlds worst managers reply back asking me to spend MY OWN TIME telling them how to do their job over email. Pathetic.

Honestly, really disappointed with menu changes to the chicken and waffles. The service was fine and the atmosphere was nice. I moved out of state and I came back in town and that was all I was thinking about food wise. Literally used to praise this place and recommend it to everybody. Went there tonight and they changed their chicken and waffles. It no longer comes with sausage gravy, or the cranberry or cherry type sauce that came with it. Had to be a manager or higher up decision to save some money or something cause it obviously does not taste as good as what it used to. They over pepper the syrup now and sprinkle bits of sausage (thinking that would make up for the gravy I don’t know), which are completely unnecessary. Probably will never go back. A true travesty that we all will never be able to experience The best chicken and waffles of all time ever again. Whoever made that decision to change that menu item, get rid of them.
