  What a truly special place. Spent a night here in January & it was an amazing experience. The ambiance is warm, rooms are comfortable & clean, & it really takes you back in time. The food is immaculate, beautifully presented (hats off to chef!) & the proportions were perfect. Best meal of my life! All of the staff are exceptional, especially Crystal, who is an amazing host that goes above & beyond to make your stay enjoyable. There is no doubt I'd stay here again!

  Pre-COVID, Ski Tip restaurant was our absolute favorite dinning experience in Summit County. We went post COVID and were very disappointed. We gave it another try a few weeks ago and it has a long way to go to reach the Pre-COVID level. Cayla was wonderful, but the cuisine uninspiring. There are much better dining options in Breck for the same price. Hopefully it’s a work in progress and will not totally vanish under the weight of the new restaurants at Kindred.

  There are very few places that genuinely impress me anymore — Ski Tip is one of them. Tucked inside Ski Tip Lodge, it almost does itself a disservice by not having a standalone identity. Walking in feels like stepping into an Italian alpine rifugio — incredible cooking, a cozy and authentic setting, warmth of character, and service that makes you exhale. It’s elegant without being precious. Michelin-level execution without the ego. Dinner unfolds in the white-tableclothed dining room — beautifully presented courses, thoughtful pacing, genuinely delicious food. Then you transition to the fireplace lounge for dessert and aperitifs, which is where the magic really happens. It’s intimate, communal, and somehow effortlessly encourages conversation with the other guests. It feels less like a restaurant and more like being welcomed into a mountain home. Krystle, the General Manager, is the human embodiment of Will Guidara’s Unreasonable Hospitality. On a recent visit, someone in our party was struggling with altitude sickness, and her attentiveness was one of the kindest, most thoughtful gestures I’ve witnessed in a dining setting. It wasn’t performative — it was deeply human. Selfishly, I hope Ski Tip remains a bit under the radar so I can keep bringing friends and family and watching them be wowed. But truly, they deserve to be on the cover of Food & Wine and turning away reservations.

  Ski Tip felt like a true home away from home. All of the staff was an incredibly warm and thoughtful, and the bed-and-breakfast vibe made the stay cozy and welcoming. Everything felt comfortable, relaxed, and genuinely cared for. Would absolutely stay again.
