I like this restaurant, but it feels a bit overpriced for the food that you get. To be honest, I’ve had much better food at more affordable restaurants. My food was the blackened salmon Alfredo, which was about $36. Even for a salad, it was like $35. For that price, you would think it would taste better, but to each their own. The environment is nice and the bathrooms are very clean. The service was also good. However, once again, the menu is very overpriced, and the food is subpar at best.

I’m extremely disappointed in Pappadeaux’s handling of a recent situation involving one of their employees. Instead of standing by their staff member after that employee spoke up about experiencing homophobia from a patron, the company chose to terminate the employee. Hospitality should include protecting your team from discrimination. When businesses fail to support employees who speak out against homophobic behavior, it sends a troubling message about whose comfort matters more. Creating an inclusive environment isn’t just about marketing — it’s about how leadership responds when bias actually shows up. In this case, the response appears to prioritize avoiding controversy over protecting staff from mistreatment. Until Pappadeaux demonstrates a clear commitment to standing against discrimination and supporting its employees, I can’t in good conscience recommend supporting this business.

We go to this DTC area Pappadeaux a few times a year, if it were closer we'd go much more often because it's just always so excellent. This time we sat at the bar at 4pm on a Sunday and it was very slow - but quickly got busy. We had Sam as our server and bartender and Laura helping, and they were such great hosts, friendly and providing attentive service. Oysters on the half shell and some roasted, a Salmon Alexander that comes with other seafood bites, their killer $10 house salad that is amazing and huge (best blue cheese dressing I've ever had). The food was delicious, the drinks equally tasty and a great time over all. Pricey, yes a bit, the average entree $45 or so, oysters $3 each but so worth it. Great atmosphere, lively but not overly loud and with TV's discreetly located around the bar with sports on and the sound off.

Always a great couples/family atmosphere. Service is always on point. Items I've ordered so far have been plentiful and palatable. Sea food options of fried or a healthier choice of baked or grilled. Then end your dining experience with their exceptional desserts. I highly recommend giving Pappadeaux a try.

I’ve hesitated on writing this review because we’ve really enjoyed Pappadeaux for the last twenty years. HOWEVER - I’d say some changes are needed to their kitchen training. Kid you not, over the course of the last year, we’ve had issues at 3 of the past 4 visits. Food coming out blackened when it was ordered “naked”, the kitchen losing our order and adding an hour to our dinner time, and now salmon coming out basically raw when it was specifically ordered well-done. We were there for a family birthday yesterday and it ruined it for me that I had to wait for my salmon to get cooked properly and finally eat when everyone else had their leftovers boxed. I don’t believe I will give them any more chances. Their prices have risen considerably, and it’s not worth the gamble that the kitchen won’t mess up our night again.
