  I’ve eaten at almost 100 different McDonald’s, in dozens of different states & countries, and this place consistently has the worst fries of any other location on the planet. Oily, soggy, and low quality. I stop here a few times every month, and I truly appreciate consistency. Yet, this place is consistently serving borderline inedible fries.

  We stopped at McDonald’s for breakfast on the way home from our spring break ski trip, and this location really stood out. Traveling with a large group (13 total between two families), we needed something quick and easy—but this place exceeded expectations. The restaurant was extremely clean, well-organized, and had a great overall atmosphere, especially for a busy morning stop. One of the biggest highlights was the huge indoor play place. It’s not something you see as often anymore, and it was perfect for letting the kids burn off some energy after being in the car. The space was clean, well-maintained, and large enough that multiple kids could play comfortably without feeling crowded. What really made this location unique was learning that it’s locally and family owned. You can tell there’s pride in how it’s run—from the cleanliness to the friendly service and how smoothly everything operated. The food came out fast, hot, and exactly what you’d expect from McDonald’s—perfect for getting everyone fed and back on the road. Great stop if you’re traveling through Golden, especially with kids or a larger group. Clean, efficient, and the play area alone makes it worth choosing over other options nearby.

  This place has a lot of shortcomings but the worst is ordering food thru a kiosk and clicking pay at counter. The order doesn’t go to BOH until you pay, and paying requires an employee, which is a task. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes waiting to pay, until someone finally rung me up, and then laughed when I told them their customer service needed improvement, he thought I was joking at first. Make this your last resort McDonalds. Oh, that’s a large fry before eating a single one too.
