The sauce was bright red like it just came out of the tomato can, super acidic, and hardly tasted like any of the traditional spices. There wasn’t even potato in it which is what “aloo” means. I definitely got the sense that either the cook back there has no idea what they’re doing quite yet or they had the back up chef that day as it was Christmas Day. The lamb was chewy instead of that nice slow cooked texture. The onion pakora were also very difficult to chew, it Kind of seemed like they left the onion skins on or something. The tamarind chutney was so sour It burned my throat which is something I’ve literally never experienced lol 😂 I would actually like to use it in a cocktail, but not to dip my fritters in… I was really excited to try this place after seeing good how good the reviews are but man It was a bummer. I literally packed it up to go, got in my car and ordered the same meal from somewhere else because I was craving a proper Indian meal and this just did not hit the way you want it to. The server was friendly though 🤙🏼
