We were recently there for a special event in their Agave Room. Despite The Rio being listed as wheelchair accessible and the Agave Room boasting of fully inclusive events, the only way into the Agave Room is via 2 flights of stairs. They have a chair lift, picture something that you'd expect in an elderly family member's house, but if you are a full-time wheelchair user, you must be able to transfer yourself into the chair lift and have a wheelchair that can be carried up 2 flights of steps. Not sure if the contraption is even working because this wasn't an option for us.
It's a historic building, so maybe this poor attempt is the best they could do, but they should at least be up front about it on their website. The space was beautiful, but only if you can get into it.
The hostesses were neither friendly, sympathetic, or helpful asking about how to get into the room.
The staircase was also caked in dust and a few of the spindles needed repair.

The food here is a variety of fun dishes that fit every palate. The back patio is especially enjoyable on a nice afternoon or evening. This is both a family friendly restaurant as well as a great place for a date night out on the town.

Kilo was our server and she is/did amazing!! So engaging and friendly. Made us feel welcome and was so accommodating. She listened to our orders and was very detail oriented with our food. She asked us how we liked certain orders to ensure they were right the first time! Can't recommend her enough!!!

This is the best restaurant in town, not the best Mexican restaurant, the BEST restaurant! It never fails and the quality seems to get better every year if that’s possible. The servers are always there to please and seem to be happy to be there.

It’s changed a lot since I was here last. I know they had a fire and the remodel is wonderful. I love that it still has the old “Rio” charm and it’s not too modern feeling. I sat on the back patio, had two house margs and the spinach enchiladas, everything was great! The food was WAY better than I ever recall, great job!
