I called and was very kind and explained right away "hi, my name is Lizzy, I just placed a large order on Door Dash and we are missing a sausage egg cheese croissant and 2 croissant twists, we also had several sandwiches that weren't correct but those folks were ok with it." Lukas immediately in defensive mode "well I was in the back and I properly weighed everything and was assisting the team member to pack your order and blah blah blah...." "Lukas your defensiveness isn't helping, I was just letting you know". Clearly his ego was hurt a bit, "Well if you want me to refund or make your items you need to give me good feedback so I know what to fix..." (Me completely perplexed because his listening skills don't exist and I already told him what we were missing) ...goes on and on continues to talk over me, I repeat what we were missing, he continues to talk over me saying "there ya go, was that hard...goes on and on" I am unable to speak and he hangs up the phone. The above is a true story. Amusing and not what a good floor supervisor/manager is made of. A great opportunity might be to have a discussion with him about how feedback is an opportunity and not a direct shot to his very inflated ego. Also, listening to the customer and not starting off defensive is super helpful. Off to eat my avocado toast, it better be perfect since you said it was all in order, Lucas. Update: Lucas called Doordash stating everything was sent so 3 folks at my center didn't get the food they ordered. Pretty cool bud.
