Food way to salty, margaritas probably less than 4 ounces all ice, marginal waiter, food arrived way to quickly and removed plates quickly as well. My party,3 adults 2 granddaughters, were on our way in under 45 minutes. Sat us at the back of the bus, not crowded at all. Spent $300+, 3 stars probably to generous!

Madre Cocina y Lounge is an absolute win. The atmosphere is vibrant but relaxed — the kind of place you can enjoy a great meal and actually have a conversation. Warm lighting, great vibe, and just an overall cool energy.
I ordered the à la carte tacos and let the waiter choose for me — best decision ever. Every single one was incredible. Fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked meat, and amazing flavor in every bite. You can tell they really care about quality and presentation.
If you’re looking for great food and a fun atmosphere, this spot delivers. I’ll definitely be back. 🌮🔥
Nice atmosphere, just a touch loud and drafty cold every time the front door opened. Really like the offerings on the upscale menu, like the nopales salad. The ribeye taco was fabulous. Also really appreciate that they had plenty of gluten-free and vegetarian options. Never expected to be able to have a gluten-free empanada. The cocktails were really good, just tiny. There were a few issues with Service not just from weight staff, but maybe from kitchen flow, perhaps they were understaffed. One dish came out room temperature so we sent it back to be heated, but they opted to make another one, we would’ve been fine if they just microwaved it, because by the time it came out, my dining partner was finished eating. I notified the waiter that I’m allergic to shellfish. When the food came out, I saw him, grabbed the empanada off the serving tray before it was placed in front of me and ran it back to the kitchen with no explanation. I’m guessing the shrimp empanada must’ve come out instead of the mushroom one I had ordered. Thankfully, he had noticed that. When we finished our main courses at about 7 PM the waiter asked if we were ready to check out before even offering dessert. We asked if there were options for dessert and his response was they’re still making dessert. I find this really odd that they wouldn’t have dessert already prepped for earlier diners. The restaurant was nearly full when we showed up at 5:45 PM. Perhaps they were down a staff member in the kitchen on this particular night. Things are pretty pricey a single taco or tiny empanada is $8 to $9. But that certainly doesn’t keep the crowds away.

MADRE SUCKS and I'll tell you why...
On opening weekend, we got a large group together to go check out the place because we heard it was Latino owned. We enjoyed the night until one of our friends asked if he could get an extra tortilla for the guacamole, to which the server denied and replied in a snarky manner. He kind of made fun of him and a small argument about it ensued and that was that. But that was not the bad part. When the owner found out later that night, he came to our table (we had a party of almost 20 people) and he proceeded to ridicule our friend. I distinctly remember him mocking him and asking him what kind of car he drove! We were upset, paid our bill and left. I forgot to say goodbye to one set of friends, so I turned around at the door. As I walked in, I saw and heard the owner telling my friends (they know each other) to not bring low class people to his new restaurant. Thinking about it still makes my blood boil. I will NEVER set foot in that place or in Los Comales again.
I went to Madre for a date night with my boyfriend, and from the moment we walked in, the entire experience was incredible. Our server, Alan, set the tone immediately. He was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the very first interaction. You can tell when someone truly cares about creating a great experience, and he absolutely did. His recommendations were spot-on, and he made us feel like valued guests instead of just another table. Now to the food and just wow. I’m gonna butcher the name if I try to spell it but I ordered the pork belly taco along with a few other things, and it was honestly the best taco I’ve ever had. Perfectly juicy, full of flavor, and cooked to absolute perfection. Every bite was balanced and rich without being overwhelming. Everything I had was cooked to perfection and very good. The quality and creativity of the dishes reminded me of dining at top-tier places in Denver like Alma Fonda Fina, it was truly on that level. The cocktails were on point as well. I had the El jefe and I had another drink with a banana I don’t remember the name of it, but of phenomenal. Beyond just the food and drinks, the atmosphere was inviting and comfortable. It felt elevated but still warm and approachable, which made the whole night feel special without being pretentious. Madre completely exceeded expectations. Amazing food, outstanding service, and a genuinely welcoming vibe. We’ll definitely be back! It’s added to our date night spots now!
