- MSmark stewart1 day ago1.0Just purchased a chicken pasta from the grab and go chiller case at this Downing St. location. Drove the 6 minutes to work and walking with it into work I was concerned that it just didn't feel that cold(?)- like barely cool in my hand. I work in hospitality and had a digital probe thermometer on my desk, so I opened it up and temped it. The coolest spot I could find was 55 degrees. Safe holding temp is 41 or lower. And there is no way that it went up 15 degrees in six minutes from the time I left the store. I had no intention of eating that and getting food poisoning. Tried calling the store (twice) to complain and the automated system just put me on indefinite hold- you literally cannot get through to customer service. So I'm out nine dollars, have no lunch today, and this location is making people sick by not checking temps on their prepared foods. And you wonder why Safeway's all over Denver are closing down. Do NOT buy prepared food here.

Where was management? Where was anyone behind customer service?! This is not the first time we've experienced this at this store. Never going back.
