Have not had food this good since we were in New Orleans. I got the sampler and my husband had the fried catfish. I also had a hurricane and again, have jot had one that good since Bourbon Street. We enjoyed the friendly staff and fun atmosphere. We will be back!

This is my favorite resturant. My girlfriend and I have become regulars. The owner is fantastic, and treats his customers well. The blackend seafood plate is amazing, along with the crawfish etouffee. I get the seasonal fish, which is typically seabass. Crawfish Monica is unreal. You wont regret coming here.

I drove all the way from Colorado Springs to come here because I was feeling nostalgic, this place is right next door to the duplex I grew up in, so I was actually really excited to visit. When we got there, we were greeted by a nice young man, which started things off well. But after that, it went downhill. It took about 20 minutes for someone to even come take our order, and honestly, I feel like the only reason they finally did was because the owner noticed we were getting impatient. When the server finally came over, she was rude and not welcoming at all. We had to literally guess when she was done entering each item just to say the next thing. Then she grabbed our menus and walked off without saying a word. The food experience didn’t make things any better. They forgot my red beans and rice completely, and gave my husband red beans and rice when he actually ordered gumbo. It took another 20 minutes before anyone came back to check on us, and that’s when she finally brought the correct items. As for the food itself, I ordered the catfish, oysters, and shrimp. The oysters were burnt, and nothing came with any kind of sauce, which was disappointing. Overall, this was really frustrating, especially because I came for a meaningful, nostalgic experience. Unfortunately, the service and food didn’t match that at all. I won’t be back. Also the gumbo I ordered to take home did not have shrimp in as I asked. Lady was so busy being rude she’s messed up 3 orders.
