At Mercantile, every plate is a testament to the land, the season, and the artisans who bring it to life. Located in the heart of LoDo, we blend culinary innovation with genuine hospitality, creating a space where locals feel like celebrities and every guest is treated like family. By day, our café hums with energy, offering curated two-course lunches and a welcoming atmosphere. By night, Mercantile evolves into an elevated dining experience—where flavors unfold in layers, conversation flows, and every meal is an invitation to connect. Under the visionary leadership of James Beard Award-winning Chef Alex Seidel, we celebrate Colorado’s finest growers and producers, ensuring that every dish is as intentional as it is unforgettable.
Dining at the chef's counter was an exceptional experience far exceeding five stars. Chef Ron has created a menu perfectly showcasing the flavors of Colorado fresh vegetables to local proteins. You must do the wine pairing so Andrew, the sommelier, can share his breadth of knowledge on why his hand-picked wines elevate the food. Watching the chefs work was fascinating! Manager John really has something special with this team. I can't wait to return.

I don’t normally do reviews, but I had to step in here and give a shout out to Mercantile. What a great experience. Excellent food and wonderful service. I brought a couple of people from work here for a celebration lunch for one of our departing coworkers and they treated us well. The menu is a little limited, but cannot complain when everything they brought out was really good.
Same for the cocktails-not many to choose from but loved the agrodolce. Good vibes, good times.

Lovely restaurant inside Union Station, with great service and food! Enjoyed an excellent meal here, sharing a few plates with colleagues. The cocktails were pretty great, too!

This is the first restaurant in the Denver area that I can say Truly deserves five stars. Each dish was so good. Every single ingredient on that plate enhanced the dish to the point where it felt like we were eating a symphony. Each bite was better than the last and these dishes were pure art and poetry. The service was top-tier. It was like something I would find in New York City at a very fine restaurant. This is truly a credit to the Denver area.

The Japanese eggplant was good as was the Ahi tuna ceviche but the porkchop was overcook and the dark chocolate rum cake was unimpressive.
