5 stars for store personnel at self-checkout. Zero (0) stars for at least one of the people who stock items during the day, who go out of their way to change their walk path to make customers go around them, when it turns out that the employee wasn't actually headed in that direction and it was all some sort of unnecessary power move. It's extremely rude behavior. Management needs to have a long conversation with certain employees about this sort of conduct.

I gave it 3 stars🤷‍♂️ because they were open Xmas day, and cuz they have this thin crust pizza dough that king Soopers doesn’t carry.(Jus-rol u just unroll it, comes with parchment paper. BY FAR best store pizza dough I’ve ever had. If u know how to toss it up n do it properly that’s prob different. Plz try it ppl! Gotta keep it selling!) But it is Xmas day, 3:00pm. I just saw their security guard yelling at ppl aggressively, way out of line; he’s a bully fr. 1 guy finally snapped back at him and they began the “wanna go outside” thing. Customer was ridiculous too ofc, but when one is a SECURITY GUARD, that’s not ok. They went outside; I walked by and laughed at them; told security guard he’s awful at his job. The way he approached ppl just was not cool. I saw him speak to an older woman in a way that….whew, it got me angry. Some things you just don’t do and this clown did all of em! That one customer, I dunno, he got all macho and stupid, but he started from a good place of pushing back against a bully. Ultimately, it Christmas y’all. Oh and they’d an announcement “we close in 10mins, we wanna go see our families too!” Then you should’ve requested the damned day off! Don’t get mad at ppl for shopping at your store while you’re OPEN! I worked today! And you KNOW they’re getting at least time and a half. Don’t wanna work, don’t have a job! Dunno why this is such a theme in Denver but everywhere, 5-10mins BEFORE listed closing time they start yelling at ppl! Get it together if you wanna be a real business!

This is a Floral department review: their staff consistently ignores customers waiting for assistance/placing orders. On our last visit we were promised that “Safeway only sells flowers guaranteed to last 5 days” despite the inventory clearly requiring a markdown. We’ll be patronizing the King Soopers across the street for our floral needs from now on—would recommend any other floral customers do the same.

Every time I go I swear I’ll never go again. It’s never stocked unless you go on specific days, and they never have anyone working at the normal checkouts. At best it’s one person. Today, I completely filled my cart only to realize the only option was self checkout. They finally opened a line in the partitioned section where you have to check out separately for items like medicine or shampoo, but it’s not a normal size check out so I went back and forth putting things on the conveyor belt and frantically bagging while a line formed behind me with people just trying to buy a bottle of ibuprofen. Then, you can’t go out any of the normal doors, and since all the registers were closed, you can only go out through self checkout, which was packed and not navigable with an actual cart. I actually asked one of the employees how to get out of the store before finally getting desperate enough to unhook one of the cable cords blocking the closed checkout lanes myself just to escape. The kind and patient employee that checked me out was asking for a break from the manager while I was in line (they looked 10x as exhausted as I was) and was repeatedly denied one.
