I went in Safeway yesterday I swear they have the rudest management team they are rude and lazy this is the worst Safeway I have ever shopped in I have read alot of reviews this seem pointless to write because the same rude people are there there us such a high turnover I bet it because of there management team I can say I had maybe two good experiences at this store and I found out he quit because management was so rude and mean to him I seen Josiah Blackwell in store shipping that's when I asked him if he was working he told me he quit and why he was such a pleasant young man he was helping sweet paid attention to what I was asking so they let a young man go who did his job like he liked it but keep management that are rude and disrespectful they should transfer out all the manager they have at 757 E 20th Ave Safeway I wish I could see Josiah again I would offer him a job and show him real appreciation from a management team the owners should send alot of secret shoppers in that store at multiple times and see how there management team sucks

Prices HIGH to the sky, Service The lowest quality I ever seen. The staff is horrible, starting with the “manager” a tall, dark hair guy, big nose. I went to the dpt of western union b4 it was time to close, the employee there decided to close earlier, he IGNORED me completely to answer my question and kept walking, Jesus was his name, He probably didnt spoke English but he knew how to mock me for sure together with the manager. He gave me the store’s manager name .. Martinez but I bet that’s another bad element just Like his/her employees. Please don't go to that store or amu other Safeway, So now I know why so many Safeway stores are closing, their customer service is going to make them fail sooner than you think. It's not my wish but if people want a least respect when a question is asked, they should consider going to a different store. Prices of course HIGH but the service LOW LOW

I have shopped here hundreds of times but I no longer will. This place is awful. None of the employees care about their jobs or the store’s customers. My cart locked up in the back of the store. I had spent a lot of time shopping up to that point so my cart was completely full. But because the cart had locked up, I couldn’t roll it to the front of the store to check out. None of the employees I encountered were able to help: They refused to call someone who could bring me a new cart or unlock my cart. And so, I walked out with a full cart sitting in the back of the store. I will no longer spend my money at this store until you can hire employees who care.

I really held off. It took nearly 20+ visits and over a year of use via the Safeway app to get to this point. Your staff is useless. Allow me to reiterate and (eventually) specify. Your staff, at this location, are just as beneficial to the customer experience as Stevie Wonder selling you paint at Home Depot. Just hire literal headless chickens. Let's get to the point. I've used the Safeway app for deliveries for more than a year at this location. Waiting nearly 2 hours (and yet still no products delivered) is unacceptable. Yes, 2 HOURS*. After the initial arrival time past by, I concluded to call the store directly. Typically, most stores would be hopeful, helpful, maybe even knowledgeable when customer service responds. Instead; I was hung up on, told that I have no name/order currently active (#158799382), and even told that I ordered from a different store - that last one is actually kind of funny looking back on how idiotic of an excuse that is. All that was sought after was an update on the whereabouts of the $120 worth of items I've purchased. Apparently, they don't have names, numbers or even the slightest care. How does the merchant who provide the products not have communication with the driver delivering said items? If you're thinking, "well surely after hours, they got their groceries...". Unfortunately, this ends here. No groceries that I paid for, no call back, and no decent professional to take matters in their own hands. So instead, I took this phone in my hands and finally wrote a review for caution to others locally who may order/pickup here. Don't. You can see rats for free just by strolling alleys on Colfax. Use Instacart, they've never shown absolutely carelessness like this. And their drivers are typically vetted better. I repeat, Instacart has a higher order accuracy and driver rating. Ref #23860755. Let me preface this by saying that I've never had this kind of issue with a grocery store before. Ever. I've also managed the front end (checkout and customer service) of a couple grocery stores, so I have nothing but empathy for my fellow retail folks. That being said, this place is beyond redemption. We moved to Five Points in late December. I had been using the pickup service at King Soopers for the past year and was excited to see that this Safeway offered the same service, but I kept on running into issues with my orders here. In four out of the seven pickup orders I’ve made at this location, I have had items missing, received someone else’s groceries on top of mine, gotten something completely different than what I ordered (bay leaves instead of basil was one), and even had the substitutions that I had declined on the app included with my order anyway. Which I guess I can’t really complain about—I wasn’t charged for them. If you prefer in-store shopping, I think there are about two or three pleasant cashiers in the whole store. The rest will either ignore you (if you’re lucky) or treat you with hostility. My first time in the store, the cashier did not look at me or respond to anything I said; he just barked instructions at me until I had paid for the order. Yesterday, another cashier accused me of trying to walk off without paying...until she realized that I had already tapped my card and she had forgotten to hit the button on her POS. Today was the final straw. I was getting ready to make beet-cured gravlax for a party I'm hosting on Sunday before I realized that I had left a bag of groceries behind during my trip yesterday, namely the beets. I called the service desk to find out if they had record of finding those items and what I needed to do to replace them, and they told me to bring in my receipt and talk to someone. I came in, put the missing items in my cart, explained the issue to the cashier, then showed her the receipt on my app. She glared—GLARED!—at me and asked: “How do I know you even left these behind?” Again, I was showing her the receipt for a pretty large grocery haul. I came back for two beets, a jar of pickles, salt, and a nice thank-you card—I don’t think it was more than $20 of extremely mundane items that I had proof of purchase for. This is also a pretty routine occurrence at any grocery store in my experience, so kind of I assumed she wasn’t familiar with the process and asked if she needed me to talk to a manager or anyone else who could approve this. She gave me an offended look and said, “I am the manager.” 😬 She weighed my produce bag and finally did let me leave with the items I needed, so at least it turned out alright. But being blatantly accused of petty beet-thievery cemented my worries that shopping at this store simply is not worth the ten minutes it would take me to drive to King Soopers, Trader Joe’s, or maybe even any other Safeway. I won't be shopping here again if I can avoid it. UnSafeway, I sincerely hope that you find your way. Until then, please keep in mind that treating all of your customers like pests or criminals is only going to drive away all of the customers who AREN'T pests or criminals.
