We absolutely loved this restaurant! We stayed at The Crawford to kick off our honeymoon, and this dining experience truly made the start of our trip unforgettable. We didn’t have reservations, but the amazing hostess went above and beyond to find us seats at the bar, which we truly appreciated. When we mentioned it was our honeymoon, we were immediately greeted with champagne, which was such a thoughtful and special touch.
The staff was, without a doubt, the friendliest and most welcoming group we’ve ever encountered. Every interaction felt genuine, warm, and attentive, making us feel celebrated the entire evening. On top of the exceptional service, the food was absolutely amazing—beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and worth every bite.
From start to finish, the experience was flawless. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to begin our honeymoon and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for incredible food, outstanding service, and an overall memorable experience.

Mercantile serves amazing, thoughtful culinary excellence at an accessible price for a restaurant of its renown and quality. Both times we've had the pleasure of dining here, we came away agreeing it was one of the best meals of our lives. This time, however, Alan's fantastic service elevated our experience to the next level and ensured that we'll be back for more as often as we can.

The Japanese eggplant here might have been the best eggplant I’ve had; there were so many incredible flavors going on in one dish. Really enjoyed at atmosphere and the polenta-stuffed agnolotti. Highly recommend!

Honestly? The bread service was the best part of our meal. The scallops were exceptionally salty (saying this as someone who likes salty food), the steak was overcooked (a large portion of the outer part was well done - 50% of the meat easily - and it was tough)… and the staff didn’t really seem concerned about either. Had to ask to have the full value of the steak taken off the bill vs. an initial 50% discount. A disappointing first experience at a Michelin affiliated restaurant.

The service is equally phenomenal. The staff is attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and genuinely committed to making the experience special. From start to finish, everything feels smooth, welcoming, and expertly handled.
