Honestly a very good place, the pot stickers are out of this world, and the egg rolls are really good, they even gave us a $20 meal for free. I personally don't like the ramen but everything else is top food. If your looking for a place that has great Japanese food within park hill area, this is for you!

Seating is right by the kitchen and staff is very nice and attentive. I was expecting with the 5 star reviews and the high prices that this place was going to be really good but the quality of the sushi was mid. I didn’t finish any of the rolls. Lobster in the lobster roll was overcooked and chewy. I know store bought spicy mayo in a bottle, and they use it. Spicy mayo is easy to make in house and has a better flavor. Lastly, the salmon. Salmon is my favorite fish when raw, has a clean taste and soft texture. The salmon in all of the rolls I had, had a very fishy and strong flavor. I normally hate when people say sushi tastes fishy but this was the 1st time I understood that.
Not bad I’d say quality on par with King Soopers sushi, but not worth the $100 I spent on 4 rolls and some soda. For that price try Matsuhisa or Uchi or Temaki Den or even Hapa. Nice people though and cool artwork on the wall.

I had the pleasure of visiting Japon for lunch, and it was an absolute delight! The sushi was incredibly fresh, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor—every bite was a true testament to the chef’s skill. What really elevated the experience, though, was the personal touch of the owner, who happened to be our server. Her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine passion for the restaurant made the meal feel special and memorable. It’s rare to find a place where both the food and the service leave such a lasting impression. Highly recommend to anyone looking for top-notch sushi and a welcoming, personal dining experience!

This cozy and charming new Japanese restaurant has excellent food. I had salmon bento and garlic edamame for a late lunch. The edamame was addicting with a surprisingly refined level of garlic flavor. The salmon was cooked expertly and served with three gyoza, a spring roll, four California rolls, lightly cooked veggies in sauce, and rice. The rice was the only thing I didn’t absolutely love, as I got fried rice and wished it had a stronger flavor. But the salmon was an exquisite texture and the whole bento came with two light and complex dipping sauces, a sweet one for salmon and one with a dollop of what I think was a wasabi emulsion that balanced well with the more delicate main sauce for the fried goods. Everything was fresh and expertly cooked. Service was attentive and friendly, and the food came out lightning fast. Prices are about the going rate and reasonable considering the quality of food. Clean and comfortable space. Anything on Colfax is a nightmare to park for, but this restaurant is worth it!

This wonderful establishment just opened down the block from us, so my partner and I decided to give it a go. The service is phenomena. Super friendly, kind, and attentive staff. The atmosphere was chill, quiet, good vibes. (Cute Decor) And the food was INCREDIBLE. I had the Tonkatsu Ramen, my partner had the Chicken Teriyaki, and we split a "Dancing Eel" roll. All were 10/10. We also had water (with the cute refreshing touch of fresh cucumber) and the hot green tea that rounded out a hearty meal for a cool autumnal evening. I absolutely recommend giving this place a try. Great all around. Will definitely be back!
